Be sure NOT to get the CHILD-RESISTANT pack. It is also adult resistant. It states to use scissors to open the package. Even then, VERY difficult. I should have returned them after the first package. Other than that, the batteries seem fine. UPDATE: MANY batteries are DEAD when I open them. Just today, I had to open 5 to get 2 batteries that would work. I will no longer purchase this brand. My wife has used hearing aids for years and it has been a constant frustration for her to have to replace her batteries so often. She's a mobile woman on the go and she loves hooking up her hearing aids directly to sound sources (like her phone, or the tv). This, however, drains normal Energizer or Duracell batteries within a day or two, three if she's very lucky. Compounded with that is both the high price of name brand batteries and their poor manufacturing quality which leads to a very high number of duds. So not only do you spend over $1 per battery for the name brand, but you end up throwing 20-30% of them away because they simply don't work. Then about two years ago I saw these batteries and saw the reviews and thought I'd get them for her. I figured they were cheap and worth the experiment. Much to our surprise, these batteries (which are sometimes 1/4 the price of the name brand) are far superior to the name brand batteries. In two years she hasn't had a single dud. Not one. We've kept track. On top of that these batteries are *powerhouses*. They last her, even with all her connectedness, at least a week. These batteries are simply amazing. I can't recommend them enough. Just buy one pack. Give them a try. I promise you won't regret it. When you look at the overall cost of HA batteries from the name brand, we were spending nearly $10 a week just in batteries. Now we are spending about $.80. In today's economy, you just can't beat that. tldr: -Super powerful & long lasting -Very high manufacturing quality (no duds) -Great value -You must try them Read more

I read the reviews about these Power One Size 312 Mercury Free batteries. Many reviewers pointed out that they do not last very long. I decided that the environment was more important than battery life, so I bought these from Amazon. It turns out they are fantastic lasting as long if not longer than my batteries from the same manufacturer that contained mercury. I get from 10 - 12 days use from each mercury free battery, and one of them lasted 13 days. I wear my hearing aids about 11 hours a day, so it's not as if I only wear them a small amount. It occurs to me to add that I also use a remote with my hearing aids rather than having the volume control on the hearing aids themselves. I am wondering if this fact somehow leads to longer battery life. I have no idea about this and my audiologist didn't know either. I mention it in case it might be a factor. My suggestion is that if you want to use mercury free batteries is to simply give these a try. They are not expensive and might work out just fine. Read more

I have ordered Power One hearing aid batteries before and had no problem. This order it is almost impossible to get the batteries out of the package without completely tearing up the package. You have to cut around the package (no easy open perforations) and still it is very difficult to release the battery. I finally tore the package apart. I will be donating the remaining packages and ordering another brand. (I’m guessing they want the packaging childproof ….. well … it is adult proof!) Read more
