Reliable Clean Soap for Everyday Dishes
I’ve tried many plant based dish soaps over the years, including Mrs. Meyer’s and Method, looking for one that handles grease without drying my hands. I’ve been using Preston Lane Luxury Dish Soap in Mayfair Scent daily for the past month in a household of two. The formula cuts through baked on food and oily pans with just a small pump, producing thick suds that rinse clean without residue. It's good with scrambled egg pans and pasta sauce pots after a short soak, performing as well as conventional soaps I’ve used. The essential oils give a light, fresh floral citrus scent that makes washing dishes more pleasant but fades quickly, leaving no smell on dishes or glasses. My hands, which usually get dry and cracked from frequent washing, feel softer after use, likely from the gentle ingredients. It’s vegan, cruelty free, and free of sulfates and parabens, aligning with my preference for cleaner products. The pump dispenses consistently, though it can get slippery when wet. The 16 oz bottle has lasted three weeks so far with twice daily use. Overall, it’s a strong everyday soap that balances cleaning power with hand comfort, making it my current favorite in the natural category. Read more

Preston Lane Luxury Dish Soap
The Preston Lane Luxury Dish Soap smells great, but not for doing dishes. It honestly smells like men's cologne or body gel, and I prefer my dishes to smell like nothing. This dishwashing soap comes in a sleek, black bottle and is very heavily perfumed with scents of Bergamot, lime, jasmine, tuberose, sandlewood, and cedar. The fact that the bottle was poorly packaged and spilled in the bag it came in didn't help. I did like that the soap is made with natural ingredients and was effective at getting myself dishes clean. It worked well on my greasy pans too! This soap could be marketed maybe to men? But I'm not sure if they want their dishes to smell like cologne either. This would be a good bathroom soap for your hands, so that is what I am going to use it for. The strong cologne scent is too much for the kitchen. It's not a bad dish washing soap, it's just not right for the kitchen. The Preston Lane Luxury Dish Soap is a bit expensive, but if you can afford it and enjoy the scent, you will enjoy it's cleaning power. Read more
