This review is for the PrettyGuide Women’s Y2K Long Sleeve Ribbed Cotton Cropped Button-Down Top. I ordered the size Amazon recommended, but I really wish I had gone up one—this top definitely runs small and has a very slim, body-skimming fit. It’s also cropped, hitting higher on my waist than I’m comfortable with, so I’ll be wearing it with a camisole underneath for coverage. The fabric is lighter than many of my basic T-shirts, so for me it works best as a layering piece under a vest, cardigan, or jacket. On its own, it would be too chilly in my work building. The functional buttons are a nice touch, giving me some flexibility with the neckline—buttoned up with a pendant or slightly open for a more relaxed look. What I do appreciate is the quality: the stitching is clean, the seams are even, and all buttons are securely attached. It’s very well constructed for its price and exactly what the description promises—a thin, fine-rib, fitted Y2K-style top. If you like a very fitted, cropped style, order your usual size. The scoop neck is a good height right above the collarbone, and the buttons make it interesting. quality: 3/5. while the ribbed and form fitting design is nice, the fabric is very thin. I could clearly see the outline of my bra in the back, making it look cheap. The material also smells like this strange fishy scent when you get it out of the package, but it washes off. Also usually a sign it’s cheaply made. Still, it’s overall nice looking as long as you’re not zooming in too much. value: 4/5. overall, I like this shirt and it’s a good purchase. This sweater fits really nicely, I like how soft the fabric is, and it’s got enough stretch, but it doesn’t stretch out much over the day. I was happy to see that every button is fully functional, not just for decoration, which is rare and gives you multiple styling options. You can wear it fully buttoned as a top, or completely unbuttoned as a cardigan. Just note that to achieve the look shown in the product photos, you’ll need to manually unbutton the bottom three buttons. I’m 5'10" and 34DD and ordered a large, intentionally sizing up to avoid any gaping across the chest (IYKYK). The fit is perfect, no pulling between buttons and it lays nicely against the body. The sleeves are long, which is a big plus for those of us with longer arms. The material is very soft and light weight. I live in Southern California so I could easily use it all year round.
