About 15 years ago I got rid of my old electric shaver and went to double edge. I got a very good German razor and got sample blades assorted pack. I got a great boars head brush and an English shaving soap. So every morning I’d use a hot washcloth to soak my face, soap my face up and shave. Really wasn’t satisfied with results. Told my barber about the problem and he showed me what he uses for his customers! Gave me a container to try and I’ve never looked back. I put it on my face, rub it in... wait several minutes and shave. Hair comes right off the razor blade! Almost no cuts (I did change from S..... blades to A.....) blades. Blades work great! Could not be happier! Read more

I was in need of a new jar of brushless shaving cream and purchased this product based on the high amount of user reviews. Now that I have used it for two weeks I feel comfortable in recommending it. It is easily applied and not unpleasantly fragranced. It is not a perfume fragrance but more of a barber shop fragrance. I dab it on with two wet fingers to my neck area (as I have a short trimmed beard) and complete the job with just a few strokes. Good product. Read more

I use this as a pre shave cream. It has enough tingle to make my whiskers stand up, smells good and is affordable. I had previously used proasso pre shave cream but it is quite pricey for the ammount you get. This cream is almost as nice but you get a huge tub. Great value for my use. Read more

I like thick foam and you won't get that with this. I use it as a pre-shave and it makes your regular cream perform like it was on steroids. I slather on a good amount with a brush. Then apply a hot towel that's been soaking in hot water so hot I can barely pick it up. Then apply it to my face for 60 seconds. I shave with a Fine Marvel razor with a Feather blade and can't even feel the blade. Good stuff. Read more

I'm a fan of brushless shave creams. Ignoring price, Pro Shave's offering is not great. It's decent. It's not as luxurious as some, meaning it's a bit thinner or runnier than I like, and I don't care for the menthol type scent. But at less than a dollar an ounce, it's a good value. I've also used shave cream by the Art of Shaving. There is no question that it is a better product. Very thick and luxurious feel but still easy to work with and doesn't unduly plug up razors. But their product costs $5 per ounce. So while I think Art of Shaving's product is better and would pay more, it isn't 5 times better. Besides that, their container is very deceptive. Same size container as Pro Shave's but much less product because it has a "false" inside. Not good. Read more

My barber uses this stuff so I decided to give it a try. Glad I did. Works great as a skin prep. Softens the skin so the lather can focus on the whiskers. Works for me! Read more
