I have had one on our King bed for almost a year, this purchase is for my parents bed and I bought one for the guest room queen bed. It is soft and quit to sleep on, washes nicely (no chorine bleach), fits snugly without a struggle to put on the bed and the protection...Fantastic! Our mattress was expensive and I wanted it to last. This cover protects against sweat stains, wet dog feet when they get by me and head straight for the bed! and it saved the day when a cut lost bleed through the Band-Aid and would have made a permanent stain on the mattress. I also feel good that it helps protects against all the dust mites and dead skin cells that the mattress marketing people are now "warning" us about. Plus the mattress continues to look fresh when guests strip the bed linens after visits. As a frequent shopper on Amazon I take great interest in the reviews of others before making purchasing decisions, so I felt it an obligation to submit my first substantial review. In need of multiple mattress covers, but confused by the varying reviews I ordered several of each. The outside packaging shares similar themes and pictures. Upon opening the packages I did notice a slight polyester type odor from packaging as other reviewers had noted, but that quickly dissipated. Both covers appear to be identical in quality of construction, fit and finish. I did not hear any crinkling noises with either cover as others had mentioned although due to the nature of this product it is slightly stiffer than your average cotton/poly sheet, but that was not a concern. While we have not had any spills or accidents on these particular covers I don't anticipate any problems as we have had similar covers that worked as intended in the past. My experience has been is that if you wash and dry the covers you must use low to medium heat. If you use High heat the backing will get brittle and crack, which then leads to the noise some may have experienced, but worse yet LEAKS. As others have mentioned the mattress pad warranty is only against defects in material and workmanship and does not cover stains on the mattress itself UNLESS the mattress pad and mattress are purchased at the same time and from the same Authorized retailer. This mattress Protector is great. My previous one was wayyy too hot to sleep on and had a poor fit- i replaced it with this one. -No temperature increase -very breathable -terry material grips to mattress and sheet so it doesnt slide around -plenty of material to tuck under deep mattresses -No plastic sounds when on bed I would like to add a note as a reply to the unsatisfied customers before me: This is not a Bed wetting solution. And you cannot wash it every week and expect it to hold up to the wear and tear a wash machine puts it through. There is another product for bed wetters- just get a vinyl encasement and deal with the discomfort until the bed wetting is done. This product will protect your mattress from sweat, pet odor, drool that misses your pillow, and light spills that you quickly clean up. Read more

Pros: - Super soft, does not crinkle. You will not know this is under your sheets. (Unlike the cheaper versions) - Water PROOF. There is a thin layer of plastic/rubber on the underside of the product. Using this will allow you to use your mattress warranty if needed. Typically, companies will not adhere to the warranty if there are any spills or stains. Cons: - (I don't know if this is an actual con) Must follow washing instructions. Wash in your hottest settings, even your 'sanitary' setting. But, do not dry on high. This will melt the plastic/rubber backing. -Price. But in my opinion, very much worth the price. My first one lasted 6 years until user error set in and I dried it on the high setting. Read more

I really like this mattress cover. It is a thin mattress cover without any padding. It is one layer with a terry cloth like top and the bottom appears to be a thick plastic lining to protect from spills. What I like about it is that it can be washed in my washing machine and the agitator does not damage it. Previous mattress covers that I have purchased have had a gauze like covering on the underside which would get damaged when washed. This is a good basic cover. Read more
