I bought this awhile back so that I could have a keyboard outside of my laptop when I travel. I work in IT and honestly the amount of stuff I have to take with me if I'm going to be out of town for any length of time is almost ridiculous. Recently I visited family on a two week trip and I am extremely impressed with the quality and durability of this keyboard. The charge lasts for what seems like forever, the keys are really easy to type on. I do prefer my mechanical keyboard at home but it's extremely difficult to travel with and too big for small spaces when I'm not at home. This keyboard is very comfortable, I was able to type with ease and it never missed a key. As soon as I unfold it, it's connected and ready to go. If you're looking for a compact, durable keyboard to take with you on the go, this one is well worth the price. If it helps, I use macbooks and there were no issues at all with connecting. And, if you need quiet, this one is for you. Sometimes even at home I will switch over to it if my toddler is asleep nearby so I can get some work done. I'm so impressed with this company, I've already got another product of theirs in my cart because when I saw their brand show up in my search I felt comfortable enough that it's likely a good quality accessory. I'll be recommending them when our clients are looking for quality accessories. Read more

I have a large palm and longggg fingers. As such, I don't work well with smaller keyboards such as laptop keyboards. I discovered the ProtoArc foldable backlit keyboard when I was looking for RGB keyboards. I really like this one. It is slightly smaller that a standard one but is still large enough I can use it with my laptop. The convenience of folding in the approximately first and fourth quarters make it very convenient to go with my laptop in a backpack and not having part of it sticking out. Bluetooth works well and has good response times to different online games I play. For those of you that might be looking for/asking for information about the noise level, most of the time when playing my games, I don't have my hearing aids in. So, what sounds pretty quiet to me might be noisy to you. Lastly, this is a very sturdy keyboard with just the right amount of rigidity in the right places to not make it feel cheap or poor quality. I've been using the XK01 by ProtoArc, a device I originally found at a local electronics retailer and wound up buying here on Amazon. But only recently, I started to wonder if there was a backlit option for the XK01. Turns out there is, and this is it. It is EXACTLY the same product as the XK01, but the XK01 Plus has backlighting/illuminated keys. This is a light, folding keyboard that can be paired with switched between up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously. Charging is done through a USB-C socket on top of the device, and the pilot lamp changes from orange to green when fully charged. Much like the original XK01, battery life is really good, although I imagine use of the backlight will cut into longevity. However, there are three lighting levels (in addition to "off") that you can choose from. All are white lights (so if you're hoping for one of those fancier color-selectable lighting schemes like on a gaming keyboard, this isn't for you). This is a great choice for those times when you have a lot to type or say, and you just don't feel like poking an on-screen keyboard endlessly. It can be used with a smartphone, a tablet, or laptop or desktop computer. It supports all the major OS's - Windows, Mac OS, Android, and iOS - any unit with Bluetooth on it. As far as the feel of the keys, I liked it. Key travel is far better than a membrane-style keyboard, and key response feels good (not "premium", but decent), with enough springiness. It doesn't make a lot of noise when you type on it, so if you're in a situation where silence is golden, you'll appreciate it. And, unlike many other battery-operated Bluetooth keyboards available, this has full-sized keys, meaning far fewer typing errors. Yes, you may have to adjust to the placement of a few keys here and there, but I don't think you'll find the layout to be a deal-breaker. The package comes with a carry pouch, and a USB-C cable. There is no charger included for it, but you can get one nearly anywhere these days, including here on Amazon. I can't think of a better, portable Bluetooth keyboard that's available right now. I think this is as good as it gets. Read more

This keyboard has been a game changer while I'm traveling! I love that I can pair up to three devices (very easily) and it even comes with a stand that you can use for your phone (I'm using it for my second screen). The stand is even adjustable. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it seems slightly flimsy. The connectors to the pieces feel like that can break easily. Overall though, the capabalities of it is great. I love the carrying case and the size of the keyboard (and that it comes with 10-key). The backlight is a nice touch as well. It is very responsive and my favorite travel keyboard to date. Read more
