The media could not be loaded. So recently I’ve lost about 25+lbs and have been looking for a way to boost my strength. I decided on a pull up bar. I first found the common one that every online viral video has shown where someone falls down and specifically wanted to avoid that even if it costs more. I then found this. It has some bold claims of holding 3 people and upwards of 880lbs which I cannot and will not even try to disprove. I think that fits best with a more structured door frame, maybe concrete etc. At first I was hesitant and bought it anyways due to no hassle returns and installed it upon arrival. I placed it on the opposite side of where the door closes into the frame because it’s slightly wider. See attached video. I heard cracking before I could fully tighten it and noticed the molding starting to split at the joints. I knew at this point it wouldn’t hold even my weight. Some thought about what to do and I switched it to the hinges side, again, see video and all is good. It hasn’t budged and I use it everyday. It’s like when you’re a kid and see a bar you at random time of the day just want to do a few pull ups and that’s how I started. As of day one I could barely do one pull up and after 5-6 days I can do 4. Slow progress but it’s holding up and doing the job. I’m a beginner (see video) and am just trying to get more healthy than before after losing weight. I’m very happy I made this purchase and even my wife can see how giddy I was to use it because she knew I am putting in the work. It was easy to assemble and install that anyone can do it. Just be sure your door frame can handle the outward forces needed to lock it in and safely hold you. Overall a great price as well for something that I’m truly using and getting quite a bit of value out of. I’m a 5’7” Male with a 33/34 waist. Not sure my weight but I have lost a lot recently and I don’t weigh myself. Definitely under 200lb that’s for sure. Oh and once locked in place you can be sure it’s safely secure. It isn’t going anywhere so don’t worry about fall safety. Read more
I weigh 200 pounds and have been using it for over a month. I exercise for half an hour before meals every day, and there has been no loosening or falling off. The support is very solid and excellent. The crossbars are a bit too thick, making it difficult for my hands to grip them. Read more
I love this, I was pulling and pushing on this at 250 lbs. I'm now 190 and still pulling and pushing on this. I'm almost 70 attempting to relearn how to squat, and hang to strengthen my muscles before it's too late. So far it's working. It fits standard doors, stays in place, has levels in the bar, very sturdy. I can move it up and down with ease to whatever position I need. It locks in place and is still secure after many months of using it. I also us it with my resistant bands. Read more
It's just great. Very stable, feels really good on the hands, truly feels like a part of the wall and doesn't even make a sound if I jump with my entire bodyweight to test how stable it is(I'm 90kg). Really really happy from this product, worth every penny. Read more
It's strong and sturdy and holds my daughter easily, BUT it was phsically very hard to install it in a way that it should be strong enough. I tried several times and as hard as it was to put on it still slipped easily. And every time I tried again more paint came off. All in all it took me over an hour to install, and I'm handy. The product itself is great. Read more
I love this pull up bar. Very high quality. Easy to put up and take down. The reason why I didn’t give it more than four stars was because my hands are a little too small for the grip needed. The bar is covered in foam which is nice padding for the hands. I’m hoping it’ll get easier for me to hang on to the bar as my grip gets stronger. Read more
DO NOT PURCHASE. It is cheap and the end cap only unscrews on one side so it will not extend uniformly so you have an uneven size bar which affects your grip. Read more
This was easy to install and it held my and my kids weight just fine (about 350lbs) without slipping. It works as described. I am positive it could hold much more weight. I’m pleased with this purchase. Read more
