This filter appears to look mostly the same as the different brand of filter we previously purchased. The information on the label of this filter appears to be very similar to the information on the label of the other brand of filter, if not the same. As expected, the brand name on the label of this filter, and the label design, were different than the other model of filter we previously purchased. Because the two different brands of filters looked so similar, we fully expected installation to be the same. The other brand requires a simple twist of the filter to secure it. This brand of filter did not twist. We simply pushed it into place. Installation of both brands of filters was easy, just different. The water seems to taste the same as it did when we used the other brand filter; it tastes like filtered water. I prefer the taste of Spring water, as that is what I have been drinking for years. My husband does not mind the taste of filtered water. Overall, I would purchase this filter again, as it presents a good cost savings. Read more
When the replace filter light on my LG refrigerator went on a few days ago, I wasn't concerned, because I knew I had a replacement available. However, when I went to install it, it refused to fit into place. I tried several times, but was finally forced to reinstall the old filter and quickly order a new one. I've never bought the LG brand replacements because they are ridiculously expensive, but obviously the inexpensive filter I had wasn't the answer, either. So I ordered this. I was pleased that it was available for next-day delivery, and came on time. I held my breath as I went to install it, but it fit perfectly. No adjusting was necessary to get it to snap into place. After running a couple gallons of water through, as recommended, the water is clear and tastes great.
