When using those other brands, my hair was dry and frizzy, even using leave in conditioner and letting air dry. Pureology is my longtime favorite brand, and I love the Hydrate line. I have long, color-treated hair (lots of blonde highlights), and this shampoo and conditioner keep it shiny, healthy, and hydrated. My ends don't feel dry, I can comb through it after I towel dry it, and there's no leftover film/heaviness after use. You don't have to use a lot, a little goes a long way and I love the smell of it as well. Yes, you're going to pay more for Pureology, but it's worth it if you want to maintain long, healthy hair.
