This says toothpaste, but the instructions are clearly to use it like mouthwash, so I did not actually use my toothbrush. The foam is nice and thick. I was worried that it would continue to foam up and fill my mouth to the point of needing to spit it out, but it actually stayed pretty consistent and easy to swish. It wasn't at all unpleasant. The flavor is relatively mild and airy, but it did leave my tongue very purple, so I ended up rinsing with water afterward. As far as whitening application, this is about as simple as it gets.
