Unfortunately I purchased the wrong size - I was going off of another product that is VERY similar to this that is sized more for a woman's hand and for that product I wanted to try a medium since a large was a little too big from that line. However, this glove, I believe, is based on a man's hands so while this is a great glove (I have purchased this glove in a small when the other woman's glove was out of stock), be mindful of checking the sizing and do not confuse them with a similar looking product that is geared towards household cleaning but looks EXACTLY like this one. So, my mistake on buying the wrong size since I was looking at other makers of PVC-coated gloves since my Holy Grail "woman's sized" PVC-glove has doubled in price over the years and I got myself confused and thought I was buying the right size but for the wrong glove. However, since I have purchased this glove before (in a small) I will tell you that once I found this type of glove - the PVC coated glove, I only use this glove for household chores because they are great when working with any kind of cleaning chemical and you can use practically boiling water without feeling uncomfortable. Because the palm and fingers of glove is textured, I tend to forego sponges and brushes and just use my fingers to clean. I'm certain this is not how the makers of the gloves intended them to be used so again, the breakdown of the gloves at the tips I've experienced is probably from my style of using them. I've been using this type of glove for about 10 years and after a while (say a year or so of constant and vigorous use - and for a glove, a year is a lifetime!!) it will develop a bit of thinness in the tip of the thumbs - no visible cracks but you will start to feel the heat of very hot water. Also, as some people have mentioned, the inside of the glove will start to stink and I believe it is because either there are microscopic holes that develop and a bit of water gets between the shell of the glove and the cotton interliner or let's face it, when you are doing heavy household chores you sweat like a demon. When an odor develops I will use a Febreze type product inside the glove and then hang it so that it air dries with the gloves open. That really helps. Another trick I've used to extend the life of the glove when I start to feel the heat in the thumbs is to stuff 1/2 a cotton ball into the thumbs of the glove to give a little protection. Despite my mistake in ordering the wrong size, I will pass this along to a male friend and I'm sure he will like them very much. So 5 stars for the gloves overall, 1 star for my silly mistake. We use these in our bakery bistro for extra-hot water dish gloves. At first they are really slippery, but within a couple of days, the slipperiness goes away and they are great gloves. Hot water is well insulated away from wearer... just wish the cuff was a bit longer, but they do just fine in our manual dish-washing bistro. Way better value than commercial dish washing gloves and insulate better against hot water. Also, the ladies like the fit better. Read more

I like to wash my dishes by hand in very hot water. To my surprise the gloves are very heat resistant and comfortable. The fit me perfectly. My hands are fairly large and I have medium length nails which tend to tear other brands that I have used. They keep my hands totally dry. I recommend these these gloves not only for the heat resistance, comfortability and nice fit, but I have used them can be used for other projects like gardening, painting and much more. I purchased two pairs and Iβm glad I did. Read more

The main reason why I bought these gloves is because I used to always buy the Playtex gloves in supermarkets to wash dishes. The Playtex glove's price were not cheap and constantly ripping. I don't know if this is an issue with me or an issue with Playtex , but there's no way I'm ever going to find out so I've decided to try something more hard-core. I knew I could find something heavier and more durable on Amazon. I would not recommend these gloves to wash dishes, they are heavy and bulky and takes some time to get use to. The old Playtex ones that always ripped were much more flexible and I was able to control my hands better. I guess this is normal and it would be the debate between more flexibility or a longer-lasting durability. The total length of these gloves are also shorter than the Playtex ones, so water leakage from the top is easier and may be an issue for some of you out there. I'm sure there are other applications out there that this glove would be perfect for. But dishwashing would not be one of them. UPDATE *** 2016.08.25 The glove has been worn for a few months now and it is now much more flexible , dishwashing is back on the menu for these gloves. Read more

I had a pair very similar to them for years. They were perfect for protecting my hands while gardening to keep the dirt out of my nails and protect against exposure to herbicides and insecticides. I purchased them for $8 about 8 years ago, so when I saw these for $6, I ordered them. They're the same quality and the mediums fit my hands. I can wear a small or medium glove depending on the type. These are of course loose, but they fit like chemical protective gloves usually do. I'm very happy. Read more
