I’m a true size 10.5 but ordered an 11 due to availability. They’re a little roomy a half size up, but I’m used to it and it’s not significant. What stands out to me immediately is the contrasting in color between the gold thread and the black boot. The gold has just the right shine to it and brings out the embroidered design nicely. I noticed a soft padding on the inside, more substantial than the other three pairs of western boots I have. While these are relatively soft and lack overall support, they are comfortable and pretty. I enjoy wearing them in a state where this style of boot isn’t even the thing. As for the stitching of the star on the front of the boot: I looked at the description photos, and they are consistent with what I have: a 3-point star on the front, and a full 5- point star on the back. I honestly didn’t notice it until I read another review, and all things considered (including the price), I think it all works out well. Is it at all awkward? Yes. Is it a glaring style issue for all to see? No, especially not in some of the other colors. It’s the most obvious in black. I personally didn’t find the designer’s stlying to be a significant problem when everything else is comfy, fitting well, and has other eye catching qualities to it. I do have other pairs of western boots, and like I mentioned, these are a good fit and feel and have character. I think they’re worth a try if you find them calling to you. Read more
I'm pleased with these boots, but they do have their flaws. They are styled just like real cowboy boots and they don't have a zipper, thank the gods of fashion! They just pull on and off like a real western boot should. 👏 They are made of pleather that is soft and supple, albeit a bit too shiny. The stitching looks like authentic western style, but the stars in front are incomplete. I thought this was just a quirk in my boots, but I see in the reviews here that all of the front stars are missing a point! That's so weird! I've gotten a few pairs of boots from QIV and they offer a range of styles, but sometimes they are off. (Most of them are too wide in the calf too!) These boots are close to what they should be: they may not be real leather, and the heel is shorter than a normal cowboy boot, they're too shiny, too wide in the calf (per usual for QIV), and the front stars are missing a point (super odd!), but the toe is the right shape of pointy, the style is right overall, and they are only $50, which is a pretty good deal. I'm just surprised that it's that hard to mimic a real cowboy boot. 🤔 I got an 8.5, which is my normal size, and they fit fine, but I could have sized up half a size for more comfort. If I were to do it again, I would get a size 9 and put in an insole to soften them up inside. But for authenticity's sake, I don't mind that they're tight and hard-soled. They're cowgirl boots, after all! 🤠 Just don't order the black because the wonky star is REALLY obvious with the white stitching against the black. Read more
These are so beautiful!! If I could give these more than five stars, I would. I've always loved western style cowgirl boots. I have a pair that are taller, but I don't like them as much as I like these. These boots are very high quality. They come packaged really well including dust covers. The stitching is really great and the souls and heel are attached good. I love the design on these boots as well. The sizing is right on. They fit perfectly, and the toe box is not too narrow even if you have wider feet. They are very comfortable to wear. I actually find myself finding outfits that will look good with these boots so that I have an opportunity to wear them out. When I was out at the store the other day, I actually had a lady compliment me on my boots. That's never happened before, so I was really surprised. Overall, these are really great boots and the price is great as well. I've paid more for low quality boots at a big box store. These remind me of luxury brand boots. Read more
These OIV Mid Calf boots for women are very eye-catching because of the more flatterning shorter length that looks good with many outfits. I've worn my black pair with dresses, short skirts and jeans. These came in time for me to take them along to Nashville on a trip to meet up with a good friend that moved there. I felt like I fit right in with everyone wearing western boots, and the star embroidery stitching makes them shine for western dancing. I have wide feet and wish I'd ordered a size up because the pointed toes were snug after a full day of sightseeing. But they are fine for a few hours of dancing or partying. The stitching so far seems durable and of excellent quality. If you have wider feet you'll probably want to size up. The material looks like leather and is comfortable and didn't feel different that real leather. It had a leather-like smell that disapated very quickly. These boots are even better in person then in the pictures. The quality of these boots are amazing and the detailing on them is absolutely beautiful. They go great with jeans and look great with a dress. They are the perfect size and the perfect fit. They are super easy to put on and take off i didnt struggle taking them off at all. They are super comfortable i wore them for 12 hours without any blisters or sore feet. They are an excellent value for these boots i have seen more expensive boots these could put to shame. They are now my favorite boots i own and im going to have to hide them from my teenage daughters or ill never get to wear them again. Read more
