I have loved this chair ever since I unboxed and assembled it. It is extremely comfortable, the seat is wide and the arm rests do not pinch my waist or the sides of my body. The only issue I have is that, because of my weight (I am 430 lbs), The gas cylinder has completely failed and I cannot any longer raise the chair to its full height. It remains at its lowest possible height. For me, being 6 ft 4 in tall, standing from a seated position in the chair at this lower height can sometimes be an issue. I may end up just replacing the gas cylinder with one that can support 500 to 1,000 lb, and see how that works for me. I have a feeling that will make the chair enjoyable for me again. Other than that, the chair is comfortable, I have found myself sitting in it for hours without fatigue, and would definitely buy again. Read more

I'm a big guy with a bad back and my previous chair just didn't provide enough support. After sitting in this chair for long hours my back feels good, I can work longer with a lot less pain. The box it comes in is smaller than you would think but its a robust heavy-duty chair. Assembly is simple and took about 10 minutes. Others have said the front of the seat cushion is angled down and that may be uncomfortable for them but I like to lean back and relax while reading and that angle is comfortable for my legs. When I'm sitting up strait I find it comfortable. The cushions are nice and thick, all of the chair's components are heavy- duty and stable. All i all it's a fantastic chair and a great buy. Extremely disappointing. I purchased this chair to replace an old task chair that had outlived its usefulness and no longer had the ability to raise/lower due to the pneumatics being exhausted. The price point was decent and reviews were okay. I was pleased with this new chair the first week -- it is comfortable to sit in and it swiveled smoothly (I work from home, so am in the chair most of the day). Second week, it is now making all kinds of squeaking, creaking and scrunching noises, and sticks and jerks when swiveling or leaning forward and back. The chair is rated for 500 pounds -- I am about 220 so nowhere near its limited so that is not the issue. It is simply poor quality and I do not recommend it! If I could return it at this point I would, but of course it's very large, difficult to re-box (and of course we tossed the box after a week) and send back. I will now have to go spend more money at my local office supply or furniture store to get something of better quality. This thing is GARBAGE. Spend your money elsewhere and wisely! Read more
