It is quite powerful and chews through ice very well. The large opening in the included cups makes it real easy to add ingredients without making a mess. The shape of the blender head makes cleanup easier. There is no buttons on the power unit so you push the cup down on the base to make it run. I upgraded from a 330 watt to this bad boy and so far, it's doing a great job. I drink about 3 blended shakes a day (protein powder, almond milk, frozen bananas and the occasional yogurt, oats and seeds) and it so far, the blending power and consistency of the shakes are to my liking. I also like the suction cups on the bottom because I tend to be a clumsy/messy person lol The cup sizes are perfect for me, the attachments are secure and sturdy. My only complaint at the moment is the sound. It's much louder than my last one but I guess that's what comes with a higher wattage? I'd trade the nose for a quickly blended shake. Read more

I decided to start using meal replacement shakes for lunch. I tried those little hand-held shaker-style bottles with the little blender inside, but couldn't really find one that I liked or that was powerful enough to blend ice. This smoothie blender was exactly what I needed. It is larger than the hand-held ones, but takes up little space. I like that it comes with two blending cups of different sizes, along with two sizes of reusable (metal) straws, & two blending heads. I can say that I use this item daily & it mixes up my meal replacement shakes really well. I'm certainly impressed with the blending power of this machine. I purchased the "Real 900 Watts Smoothie Blender" with the promise of effortlessly blending shakes and smoothies. What I actually received was a glorified paperweight that creates more problems than it solves. I genuinely loved it at first, but after using it for a few weeks, it started to fail spectacularly. This product is an absolute joke and a monumental waste of money. Let's start with its primary function: blending. It doesn't mix everything properly. I've tried everything from soft fruits to protein powder and creatine, and they are consistently still lumpy after mixing. The "Germany 3D Stainless Steel 6-Leaves Blades" are clearly just for show, because they fail miserably at creating a smooth consistency. You end up with a gritty, unappetizing mess, no matter how long you blend. Adding to the frustration, this blender is VERY, VERY LOUD. I'm not talking about a normal blender hum; this thing sounds like a jet engine taking off in my kitchen. It's so deafening that I genuinely worry about waking up the entire neighborhood just to make a morning shake. Forget about a peaceful breakfast; this machine assaults your ears. And as if that weren't enough, it leaks profusely. Every single time I use it, liquid oozes from under the blade assembly, running down the base and onto my counter. It creates a huge, sticky mess, making cleanup almost as bad as the blending process itself. The "2 Pieces 24 OZ Tritan Sport Cups" are useless if half your shake ends up on the counter. In summary, this blender is a loud, leaky, and utterly incompetent piece of machinery. It fails at its most basic task, makes an unbearable racket, and leaves you with a sticky mess. Much superior to my last mini blender. Suction cups to keep it from traveling, vinyl gaskets prevent leaking, good blade construction. Since I have a painful degenerative wrist condition, I especially like being able to press to operate rather than twist. Read more
