This is an EMS device, it will always work best with a conductive gel. There are plenty on the market now with skincare ingredients. Do yourself a favor and get a fragrance free one and use it with this device! EMS devices will not work on dry skin and most serums absorb too quickly, and you lose conduction. I have deep set eyes, hereditary dark circles, bags caused by old age, and allergies that cause puffiness. After my first use there was a significant IMMEDIATE decrease in puffiness. The device does deliver red light. The glasses have to be moved around on your face to get the muscle toning current to work. Product is rigid plastic so there are compromises on facial fit and even muscle stimulation. Product is in line for its price. To early to tell if it is effective.
