This derma roller is all matte black and looks really high end. I was pleasantly surprised it came with a storage case. Its perfect because its props the derma roller end up so it isn’t touching and I can sanitize it with rubbing alcohol and put in the case to dry after use and the roller isn’t touching anything and the alcohol can evaporate quickly before I put the case on. I purchased this for the purpose of improving the health of my scalp as I’ve long been dealing with thinning hair due to health and while I got my health in order my hair is taking the longest to come back to what it used to be so I could use all the help I hope this will give me. I only started this week but I strongly suggest doing a test area like the back of your hand to see how you react to using a new beauty tool. Then I tried one spot on my scalp behind my ear and made sure everything was well before I started it into my hair routine. This is okay ... if you like the pain that comes from tiny needles piercing your skin. I know these are all the rage, but the thought of using this again after trying it once is not very appealing. I have another one which is smaller and gentler which I prefer to this. I put the hyaluronic acid serum on my skin and then use the roller afterwards to help it penetrate. I really like this derma roller! I use it on areas of my skin that need help with plumpness, and to my surprise, it works as intended—but not overnight. Consistency is key, along with using a good overnight serum and a moisturizing hyaluronic acid. My routine is simple: once a week, right before bed, I gently (without firm pressure) roll the areas of my skin that need improvement. Afterward, I apply a high-quality hyaluronic acid serum. On the days that follow, I use a special vitamin serum combined with the hyaluronic acid every night. On the seventh day, I repeat the process until I achieve the desired plumpness. It works, but it’s not without a little discomfort. The pain level is about a 1, and my skin often looks like it’s been lightly scratched for a couple of days. However, these micro-scratches completely heal by day three, and by day seven, I notice my skin looking more plump and collagen-rich. Recently went to my barber and he noted that my beard and hairline have been coming in thicker! I truly believe that I have the microneedler to thank for helping me in my hair growth/regrowth journey. I try andd keep it clean, but I feel like I see oil on the surface of the roller below the needles, not sure if that is good for pores, but I try and use alcohol in a spray bottle to keep it clean inbetween uses!
