When this arrived it was dried out. I tried moistening it back up, but nothing worked to my standards. It was so dry using the enclosed brush didn't even put a dent in it. The only way to get any out was using a toothpick, which "worked" but then there isn't a way to actually apply it, as it being dry won't easily go onto eyelids. The eyelids being so delicate I don't want tug and pull at them to even try to get this on. I tested it on my hand and as I had thought, no real color, practically turned to dust when I tried it. Safe to say this had no glide or ease of application. On the hunt for a good gel eyeliner since the one I use to love is discontinued. The hunt continues. This is as it is described, however it does smudge. It's a gorgeous black. You have to have a very thin brush so it does not look cakey goes on easily. The media could not be loaded. It did not come hard like the others. I do live in a hot state and it’s still kind of hot out here so I do believe the weather played a part in the gel being soft but it is a pretty good product, quality is thick and smooth. It is water proof so you would need to apply light pressure to remove. Not a huge make up fanatic but I am trying to get back to it. Also it is a good price too. I've used this gel eyeliner for years, but lately I haven't been able to find it in the stores. This is my favorite eyeliner so I was ecstatic to find it on Amazon. The gel is usually so smooth it's effortless to put on. The product I received was not how it should be. The packages were wrapped in bubble wrap and were already open, whether from heat or it being old. Immediately when I opened it and dipped the brush in I realized it had a hard, dryer texture than usual. The stuff was so stiff and sticky that I could barely get it on my eyelids. It kept sticking to my eyelashes and wouldn't spread smoothly. This is usually how it starts to get after it's been used for a while and you're getting down to the bottom of the jar. I hoped that since I bought 2, at least one would be good...but unfortunately both jars of eyeliner are the same consistency.
