Rockport Womens Harper Wide Calf Boots

Wore comfortably all day immediately after receiving. These boots have the look and feel of quality materials & workmanship. Easy on and off. Clean, classic lines; beautiful, soft leather; smooth zippers. Only negative, as some have mentioned — the calf seems sized slightly larger than the actual shoe size which creates a gap instead of hugging leg at top (great for over jeans but less ideal for wearing skirts.) I usually wear 6.5 or 7 & ordered 7 to allow for socks. They fit snuggly enough that I can only wear light to medium-weight socks but not thick socks (so if you are on the fence I would choose half-size up). The comfort is amazing. I will start this review by saying, I love wearing boots from autumn to spring. I wear them with leggings, jeans, and dresses. I had an amazingly comfortable pair of Tahari black leather knee boots and wore them probably three hundred times, until they developed holes in the soles. During my mad quest to find replacement boots (shopped every retail store in the md dc va area) I came upon these Rockport black leather knee boots in a local store. I’d already returned three pairs of unsatisfactory styles to Amazon so I was happy they allowed me to place another order for boots. I tried them on the day they arrived and was instantly delighted with the feel, fit, and finish of these beautiful boots. They are worth every dollar I paid. In fact, I am so happy with them I’m ordering another pair because I know I’ll wear out this set. The insole is sturdy but soft. Good arch support. The leather is high quality. The embellishments add a touch of style. I’ve been wearing them every other day to work and I have a long 11 hour work day. LOVE, LOVE, Love these boots. Beautiful creamy leather, soft lining on the inside, and a cushioned foot inside. I ordered regular foot width and the toe area is narrow but not uncomfortable. It will stretch out over a few wears. I was able to zip them with no problem over leggings and thick knee high socks. My one complaint, and I am thinking this is an Amazon issue and not Rockport, the boots arrived scuffed on the top of the feet and on the back. They were not shipped in a box, they came in a bag, which I am guessing is how they got scuffed. I am very disappointed and not sure if I will return them or keep them as they were on sale when I got them, and I need them for a dog show this weekend. Read more

The boots are a bit tight for my size in socks (better fit in pantyhose). The length is good. I'm keeping them because I know leather stretches. They look beautiful. If you don't want the fit to need to stretch then size up a half a size. Read more

Not sure if it’s just the world of inflation and $100 doesn’t mean anything anymore, but if I buy a pair of $100 boots, I expect them to at least come in a box. These boots arrived in a plastic bag, and on top of that, the stitching quality was worse than pairs of boots I’ve bought for $25 on Temu. Definitely returning. Just not worth the price point. If I splurge on something, I want to enjoy opening it, not feel like I’m taking something out of a garbage bag. The packaging alone tells me what quality level this company standard is. Read more

Sizing is off. If you wear a size 10 you need to order an 11. Lost the Black Friday pricing on replacement order for the size 11 so had to pay extra for replacement pair and now going through nightmare return scenario. Amazon charged my card for the return before they have received it. Tracking is showing it’s still in transit. Very frustrated. Read more
