Very surprised. Long story short. Selling my boat that had several jl m800/8v2 amps on it. I wanted to pull as I paid over 1k each for them and dealer will not pay more money for audio equipment. I have many speakers on the boat and could not pull the speakers with out leaving holes. I purchased this amp so that at least the stereo would work. For the $$, this amp is amazing. In my garage I could tell a slight difference in the high frequency. Very slight. Could not distinguish out on the water. Its actually louder and seems to push harder than the JL. I can not believe it. It is powering 6 8" Kicker COAXIALS and 2 12" Free air subwoofers. Pushes them all amazing. Excellent buy. Very much worth the money. Yes a $1000 amp is slightly better. A little more control, hook up option...but not $800 better at all. I think I will get one for my next golf cart as no need to spend crazy amount of money . Read more

This was the 1st time we had ever purchased this brand of AMP but a friend of ours recommended it. It was easy to install and worked great. We put it in our boat, it runs 8 61/2s, the 1st weekend we used it the AMP ran the whole day and didn’t shut down once due to overheating. The sound quality was good too. We have 4 AMPs in our boat, overheating had been an issue with them all so we are slowly replacing them with different brands. Needless to say our next AMP will definitely be this brand! It also arrived quicker then anticipated! Read more

I ended up saving money because of the Bluetooth feature since I no longer had a need for a head unit. I was surprised with the build quality of the amp especially for the money. Case is fabricated from metal and has a nice finish. I totally expected cheap plastic. Bluetooth works great and reliably. Range is a little weak but that still works for my purpose. Audio quality is great but a recent change to my phone caused a high pitched whining to transmit thru the speakers while playing. It’s not an amp issue but something to do with my device. Read more

The RCA outputs don't work, I returned the first unit, second unit had same issue. I verified with different cables and separate head unit to a powered subwoofer, also verified no AC voltage out with DMM. This amp's RCA outputs have a design fault from the factory. So you won't be able to daisy chain another amp or use a powered subwoofer even though it is supposed to. That said I kept the second unit because other than the RCA output issue, it works great and its cheap, I just don't have my powered subwoofer running now. I'm using it as the primary sound system in a classic car, installed it under a seat, heat not an issue so far. Run Spotify from my iphone, left the vintage head unit in the dash as a showpiece, don't need it. Plenty of power for auto application, sound is clean and crisp, loud as your speakers can handle. You can only make volume (gain) and filter adjustments split into 2 speaker groups (4 speakers each front vs. rear). No balance (left/right) control, would be nice to be able to to adjust individual speaker levels to fine tune from the unit or via iphone app or something. On a boat, probably doesn't matter but does in a car. Read more

DO NOT BUY! This amplifies makes noise. The engine noise is louder than the music. I regret wasting my money. I sat on the amp for a few moths before hooking it up and now I can't return it; the return window is only30 days. Read more

1. There is some odd bug with the firmware on this unit. You have to fully power it up with the Bluetooth off, then reboot it a second time, then push in the button to turn Bluetooth on, the reboot the unit again before you will be able to see the unit broadcast it's Bluetooth connection. 2. The Bluetooth volume does not scale at all to the line level input volume. Even if your Bluetooth device is turned to 100%, it is something like 50 times quieter than the line level input. The gain on the amp to use with Bluetooth must me turned to 75% before the Bluetooth is usable. It's impractical to be adjusting the gain all the time. 3. Using the amp with the gain about appx 50% or higher results in a constantly audible high pitched whining noise in Bluetooth mode, even if your input is paused. So basically it's really unusable as a Bluetooth amp. It works decently well with the line level input at 0dB gain in both 4 channel and 8 channel modes. You're definitely not getting what you paid for if you bought this to used it as both line level in sometimes and Bluetooth other times. The amplitude difference in volume makes it absolutely unusable. What a shame... Read more
