Absolutely fantastic value for the money. I actually used it in a small CRT TV starting in the center and moving backwards in a circular motion until I was about 3 ft away and then taking my finger off. The button worked really well. Not too strong, just enough to fix distortion and it actually worked very well for my bowing issue and I was not expecting that at all and the images better than it has ever been and I will now be doing this on my other sets Read more

The first one I ordered was DOA. No life what so ever. The housing is a cheap plastic and the cord at the base was very loose. The packaging is nothing more than bubble wrapping and a plastic bag shipped in a bubble mailer or a padded envelope. There is no box or instructions on how to use it, but, if you know what a degausser is and what it does, not much instruction is needed. Just watch a few YouTube videos and you will be set. I was able to have a replacement sent out, with zero hassle from Amazon/Seller. It does work. Same item and packaging as the first. I was able to use it on 2 different CRT brands and sizes. It did really help with the discoloration about 95% and the distortion about 70% (results will vary from screen to screen! DO NOT expect ANY degausser to fix a screen 100%). When you press the on button, there is no "Auto Off" feature!! because of this, the wand can and will become warm and potentially HOT. If not used correctly CAN BECOME A FIRE HAZARD. Would I buy this to save some money vs the $100+ to have a shop do it for me? Yes, yes I would. Would I buy this to use as a professional repair tool for my shop? Not a chance. It is very cheap and cheaply made. I would/will expect this to break within 3-6 months or less just from moving it around. If you are tech savvy, the extremally loose cord can be easily corrected. 3 stars as a cheap last chance effort to try and fix an issue. $14 well spent. 4 stars If the power cord was better secured, the housing was not cheap plastic and came with instructions and a AUTO-OFF SAFETY FEATURE. 5 stars if it had: Packaging, instruction, auto-off safety feature, indicator lite, had a better quality housing/handle (even if it was only the handle of the wand and the end was capped with the cheap plastic because of functionality, I would be happy). This works great. Knocked over my grandmas tv/vcr.. it's not the greatest set up but it's sentimental. Took a little trial and error but I fixed the discoloration by 99%.. I'm certain the rest can be removed if I messed with it a little more. Really glad this was an easy, cheap fix. Read more

The device works but build quality is very questionable. It’s made out of cheap this plastic and hot glue…. The device gets very hot under use thus cheap building materials are highly questionable Read more

Cheap, cheerful, worked for what I needed it to. Probably don't buy this if you need a serious, long-lasting degaussing device. But it fixed the color purity issue on my small Magnavox CRT so I won't complain. Just make sure you hold the button TOWARDS the CRT when using it. Read more

The degausser worked like a charm. Took a whole 15-20 seconds to fix magnet spot. Read more
