I bought this heat gun because it's got head attachments to really focus the heat. That's the upside. The downside is there's no case/bag to keep the gun and attachments all together. That's just not practical. Read more

This heat gun is excellent. Have used it on a lot of heat shrink tubing as well as heat shrink connector housings (with the glue that melts as they shrink) and it works perfectly. Love the stand -on-end functionality for ease of use in suitable situations. Had to cut a rope the other day that was just too big to melt the ends with a lighter, grabbed this heat gun cranked it up with the reduction nozzle and put the rope end on an old brick, melted while rotating and voila! a rope with no frayed ends! This works well and is cheap. I literally looked up the cheapest heat gun I could find on Amazon and this was it. It actually is good quality and for the price can’t beat it. It’s good for waxing shoes, heat shrinking electrical ends/fittings, and for removing decals/stickers. At least that’s what I’ve used it for so far. Read more

I rated this one as a five star primarily as a bang-for-buck rating. The quality of it is acceptable and the price is right. This is a heat gun that I don't won't worry about getting lost or stolen. I doubt that the temperature gets up to the claimed 600C/1112F (Per booklet that comes with the heat gun. The online description says 1202F). I will measure and update later, but I am not sure I care at this price point. Read more

Overall it's a good to great heat gun. There are 8 different temperature settings via the dial at the back and it's visible to you what setting you are on currently, comparing to some on the market that you don't know what setting you are. There are also 2 speed modes which gives you slower(less) or faster(more) air flow out of the heat gun, via the toggle switch. There are 4 different attachments, I found the wide nozzle has sharp edges and very difficult to put on, at first I thought it couldn't fit at all, see the picture, it almost has the same diameter as the heat gun nozzle. Finally I have to push it really hard to get it attached to the heat gun, not a good experience with this wide nozzle, while this nozzle attachment is actually more useful especially for most adhesive removal use cases. Like the manual indicated, the heat gun can "stands" upright so that you can bend plastic tube or it can serve the purpose of "hands free" and you can hold something like shrink tubes on top of the heat gun, that's a great feature. I hope there is some sort of indicator or LED light to indicate it's on, or it's "powered" as a warning signal. Overall, heat gun has a sturdy built except one attachment isn't built great. Read more
