This is the big entertainment TV for the finished basement. Was a little bummed when I had to set up a delivery date a week out but I understand why. It is a big, expensive 65 inch TV. They can't just chuck it on the porch and run. But with Amazon Prime you get spoiled and expect stuff in 2 days. With that said, it was worth the wait. The guys who set it up did a great job and were in and out in probably a half hour. The TV is really, really nice. When viewing 4k content, you really see the difference and I was perfectly happy with 1080p resolution. This TV delivers a stunning picture even on non HDR stuff. I won't pretend I am a TV guru, with facts about contrast ratios and white balance dEs, I just know when I get a Samsung TV it doesn't disappoint. It is my understanding this model is either the top tier of the entry level series or the middle of the road series. Either way, you should expect that it has a few more bells and whistles and a bit snazzier and maybe a few more options than the bare bones entry level model but its performance can't be compared to a $3,000 OLED TV either. Apple and oranges. It is like saying an Accord doesn't deliver the refined craftsman ship and smooth handling of a Jaguar. Yeah, I guess not. For the money, I think this a a real value and I read several reviews from independent sources that indicated the same thing. Ready to go big, and dive into 4k viewing, I can't think of a better place to start. Read more

Finally can leave a review! We are very happy with our purchase thus far. Set up was a breeze, remote synced perfectly with no issue. We do have to get a cable for the WiFi to use the voice command but can still use our satellite remote so no biggie. I do not know what people are talking about with the sound being poor! That’s nuts! The sound is awesome!! Even on the regular setting it’s really crisp but my husband played with the sound options and set it to optimized and wow! The theatre sound is great too. Picture is sooo crisp and sharp, the profile is sleek and blends seamlessly into our home. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase! Read more

This TV is amazing. Picture quality and contrast is second to none. It was super easy to set up and pair the remote with all my device inputs, including my cable DVR box. My only complaint with the universal remote is the lack of a number pad. It has an option for voice command allowing one to just call out the desired stations, but I'm not really big into talking to inanimate objects. The suggestion apps on the home menu is not really a bother to me, but I could see why that might annoy some folks. I hardly even notice it. The streaming speed is more than sufficient for HDR viewing online via Wi-Fi. If you run into problems with that one, it's probably your wireless modem or connection speed and not the TV itself. My biggest complaint is that the TV doesn't come with the bolts to attach it to a wall mounting bracket, but most wall bracket kits now come with a ton of different size bolts to attach it. Since I was using a preexisting mount, I was able to rob the bolts needed from another kit we recently purchased to hang our old TV in the bedroom. Luckily the two TV's required different install hardware; otherwise we would be had a problem. This and the remote not having a number pad are why I'm only giving it a 4 instead of the 5 star rating. All that aside, we are very happy with this product, and if it lasts anywhere near as long as our previous Samsung TV, (now 8yrs old and still trucking) we will be more than satisfied. Read more

Terrific tv! What beautiful colors and such a clear picture! Thus far, I find the sound to be actually rather good, despite some naysayers, though they may care more about a pounding bass sound or want to play it at a much louder volume than I do. It sounds very clear to me. The smart tv aspect of it works very well, with it quite easy to stream content and to change sources between cable tv, dvd player, amazon prime, and anything else you may have hooked up to it. The stream-lined remote control (which doesn't have that many buttons) has a bit of a learning curve, and sometimes takes a few seconds when you turn on the tv before the voice commands (i.e. changing channels) will start to work. I still sometimes use my cable tv remote as well when looking at what's on and to read program descriptions. But the remote provided is actually very good once you get the hang of it, and the voice commands are really cool. It's a really good-looking tv -- the metal steel bezel is rather narrow, allowing for nearly the entire television to fill up with the beautiful picture. There are good connections on the back for 3 HDMIs, and other types of connections, including room for an antenna in case I decide to get rid of cable tv in the near future with all the easy streaming this tv allows me. There is even a composite connection which allowed me to hook up my old VCR/DVD recorder since I still have some rare old media I like to play and some things I still might want to record, dub and/or edit. I also have a blue-ray DVD connected via the HDMI cables. The tv will upscale the picture, making it look as much improved as it can. I also like the base which supports the tv; while it takes up a good deal of the tv stand by being under practically the entire width of the set, I feel that's a good thing in my case, since it makes it more secure and less likely to tip over than some of the skimpy bases which are just on the sides of some sets (one reason I didn't go for the 8000 series which has such a base, nor do I think that series had a composite connection). I really love this television, as it has brought much more beautiful colors into my life! Read more
