Transformative and healing

maximusDecember 29, 2025

I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis for about 8 months now and have tried many different kinds of insoles as well as physical therapy. I've discovered that the problem with traditional insoles is that they negatively offset the gains you get in arch support by providing way too much heel padding, so they either don't help, or they don't help for very long. These samurai insoles are perfect. They provide rigid arch support without heel padding, they're easy to install, they stay in place, and most importantly, they've helped more than anything else I've tried. (PT was a huge waste of money, by the way.) They're a little pricey, but completely worth it, especially considering how much more money I've wasted on over-the-counter insoles. These samurai insoles feel like they're retraining the way I walk, so that I'm not over-pronating and putting too much stress on the fascia, especially under my arch. For the first time in many, many months I have hope that someday I will be able to run again. I did find that they squeaked a bit after walking with them in my Brooks. The instructions suggested that I try a small piece of clear tape around the front corners to reduce friction, and all of the squeaking has gone away. Seriously, if you're suffering from PF, and you're frustrated with all the other products out there, try these. They will change your life. Read more

Review of many 3/4 length inserts for comfort and improvement over time.

NodMay 29, 2025

I have a lot of pain in my heel in the left foot. I desperately bought seven different pairs of shoe inserts on Amazon in an attempt to help decrease pain and heal the problem. Some pairs were very intrusive making walking nearly impossible. Other pairs were better. I am listing them in order from most uncomfortable the most comfortable and supportive. PCSsole 3/4 Orthotics, 330+ lbs Plantar Fasciitis 3/4 Length Insoles, Plantar Fasciitis 3/4 Length Insoles High Arch Supports Orthotic Insoles, Plantar Fasciitis Orthotic Shoe Insoles, QBK High Arch, Dr. Foot 3/4 Orthotics Shoe Insoles and Dr. Potter 3/4 Orthotic Insoles. I bought the 3/4 length instead of full length so I would still have plenty of space in my shoe for my toes to move around. I liked the Dr. Foot and the Dr. Potter inserts the most even though it took time to get used too. What I had trouble with in all the inserts there is a tendency for the shoe to tip when making left or right turning movements. I like to run trail trails and that would increase my chances of rolling a foot laterally causing me to fall and/or sprain an ankle. So I went back to Amazon and research more orthodontics. I came across Samurai Insoles Ninjas Plantar Fasciitis Relief Arch Support Shoe Insoles. They were purple and looked funny in the picture. I did not purchase these before because they looked flimsy to me. I bought them out of desperation. They actually slide in under your removable shoe padding (unlike the others I bought that went on top of the padding). I slid my foot into the shoe thinking this is just going to be a stupid idea, but it was far more comfortable than any of the other inserts I tried. The insert going under the foot padding actually made my foot more stable than the other inserts did. That was a plus! Then I noticed my foot did not hurt as much when I put weight on my heel. That was also a plus, but then I became concerned that it only felt better because I was not changing the pressure on my foot in a way that was going to give me the "correct" support I needed and I would in the long term just run into more problems (pun not intended). I decided to give the inserts a test. I went for a short walk and my heel was l little tender, but still much better than having no insert at all. I decided to mow my lawn. A small lawn that only took about 20 minutes. My foot actually felt better after mowing the lawn than it did before I started. Go figure? With the other inserts I would have had to sit and rest with my foot up for about an hour. Anyway, I have worn the inserts for a few days. My foot is slowly getting less and less painful. This was a relief in itself as I have had this pain in my foot for over 7 months with no sign of getting better. Hopefully, my foot well get better and I will be able to running the trails again. Right now these inserts are my best option. For that I give them 5 stars! Read more

They made a difference for me!!!

Baxter's MomJanuary 8, 2026

Recently had total knee replacement and, following that, I was diagnosed with sciatica. These weren't perfect to solve my health issues, but certainly made a difference in my ability to get up and move. I could get through small walks with less pain and they certainly seemed very sturdy. My only wish was that they might not be quite so rigid. They do give good arch support and fit well in most of my shoes. Also, they are very easy to clean. Read more

Perfect for plantar faciitis

SharonJanuary 8, 2026

I have been suffering with my 2nd bout of plantar fasciitis and have tried every insole made, including the horrifically expensive Good Feet insoles with no relief. All insoles, even the power step ones that have been my tried-and-true product x 15 years have me in pain. Out of frustration and pain purchased these Ninja arch support soles, which actually go under the existing manufacturer's shoe insole, and after one day, almost no pain!!! I know after trying everything that each individual may have a different experience, but these are definitely worth a try if you are suffering with fasciitis as well. Read more

YES, they squeak. YES, they're too expensive. NO, they haven't helped(yet).

Maybe I shouldn't give them such a low rating. I don't think I've ever rated anything on Amazon this low. BUT, these things are nothing but pieces of curvy plastic. NO WAY are they worth $35. If the price was somewhere around $10 I wouldn't be so disappointed. The arch isn't high enough for me. They're not uncomfortable, nor are they comfortable. Not quite sure if they're helping my Plantar Fasciitis at all. It's only been a week. I'm not sure they stay where they are supposed to under my foot. I am sure they make a lot of noise when I walk or shift my weight. I am looking into full insoles that seem to be more substantial for around the same price or cheaper. These feel like a gimmick to me. I see no reason to buy a 3/4 insert like these rather than a full insole. I don't know WHAT I was thinking when I put these in my cart and paid for them. I will keep them in my work shoes until I find something better or these flatten out. I will update my review if by some miracle these end up surprising me. For now I will keep looking for something that looks like it's worth the money. Read more
