Fit is perfect without being restrictive. Using it for an Ariel on land costume as I'd need a custom fitted dress if I went through a company or crafter. Piecing it together has proven less costly. (I have awkward measurements by the sizing of most companies as apparently tall but slender ladies don't exist.) Quality is great as with all the Scarlet Darkness clothing I've bought. While this is cute [wearing it again right now], there's a bit of discrepancy. I should have got a small, because it's kind of loose in the medium. It's got adjustable straps, and it's fairly easy to put on without opening up the hidden zipper on the left side under your armpit, but... It's too loose. Once again, this garment seems to favor a more busty woman. Despite the scrunch in the back, I've got a lot of loose fitting material on the front, and it's just not doing me any favors. The two bows on the front are pure decoration and of no consequence to the garment's function. It is NOT very stretchy, but it's comfortable, and the quality of it feels more like... a bit higher tier than costume wear, but too low for a regularly daily wear. Definitely going to need a bit of work to make this garment work as I saw the picture. Might have to get a strapless bra under it to help fill it out. It's kind of frustrating though because the medium fits my chest enough that I can breath without feeling the scrunch have to kind of flex in, but the chest is just... *sigh* Read more

This is an adorable corset top. It is very cropped as you can see which I was expecting from the ad pics. I've seen a ton of tops in a similar style but this one seems to be a little bit better made because it actually has what feels like short plastic boning in the waist. The boning doesn't do very much to actually shape anything, but it still seems like the brand went the extra mile a little bit. Fit: I'm 5'4" and weigh 176 lbs, with a 38D bust and 36" waist. My shoulders measure 16.9" across. I followed the sizing chart (which is accurate) and got this in the 2XL size and its slightly loose on me. I do love that it has enough room for my bust since many corset tops I've tried before seem to have small cups and not fit right. It is shirred in the back so it adjusts to your size a little bit. There is also a zipper on one side so it is easy to put on and take off. The fabric isn't the best quality but it's not too bad, either. I'm so glad that it isn't see-through because I have no cami that could work under this. Even in strong sunlight it doesn't show through very much. The neckline is a gentle U shape and there are cute little attached bows that you cannot untie at the base of the straps in front. Looks great with high-waisted capris, shorts, skirts, etc. I also love layering it over dresses. Overall, I'm pleased with it for its comfy fit, adorable look, and slimming silhouette. Read more
