I would like to start out by saying I am a female reviewing this product. I swear I ordered this sea salt spray for a male, but I might just keep this for myself! The first thing I noticed was the bottle, it is just plastic but has a great aesthetic and a nice smooth feel to it. Then I smelled it. It has a very attractive cologne smell. I sprayed it on the ends of my hair, and I can't stop smelling it. I'm so used to the female flowery/fruity smells, this is such a nice change. Though I will admit, the scent probably works better on shorter hair as the smell might be a bit overpowering if I sprayed it on ALL of my past the shoulder length hair. It also instantly softened my hair where I sprayed it and didn't leave it sticky or heavy. My teen daughter was intrigued by the sea salt spray as well because she has issues with other hairsprays leaving her hair crunchy and/or greasy. I just used 2 small squirts, rubbed and brushed it in a bit and her fly aways were gone. We don't wash our hair every day, and when I went to help her brush her hair this morning, I was impressed it was still soft and no frizz, so this product holds up well! Plus, 2 small squirts for shoulder length hair? I would imagine one would need way less on short hair, so a little of this product goes a long way. I will leave this out with our other hair products and the male in our household might eventually question if it is meant to be used by him. My husband has had good luck with this brand before, so I picked up the sea salt spray too. It gives his hair that slightly tousled look without making it oily or crunchy, which I appreciate. The fragrance will depend on your taste, but I’m a fan. It leans more on the cologne side, clean and fresh, and I can still smell it in my hair hours later. Overall it’s an easy styling product when I want some texture and a nice scent at the same time. You do have to shake the bottle well because the salt sinks to the bottom. I admit I have limited expertise on hair care products, but I'm trying some new things now as unfortunately my hair is thinning significantly. I've been using this for a few days and it seems to work well so far. I've been spraying it on my damp hair after showering, brushing it in, and then lightly blow drying and then applying hair spray. It's not a miracle product, but it does seem to give some extra body and waviness and keeps the hair more under control when blow drying. The scent is pleasant and it doesn't seem overpowering when applying, although you do periodically smell it during the day. I don't use cologne, but as another reviewer mentioned this could potentially compete with other fragrances if you do use other scented products. The bottle itself is attractive looking and definitely more "manly" in appearance than most hair care products. The sprayer seems to work well -- just don't put it too close to your head when spraying. (They recommend about 4 inches and I might do a little farther back.) Like most hair care products this has a lot of ingredients, but to me it's less scary than a lot of other products as many of the ingredients are understandable at least. I'm not seeing any obvious allergens or gluten in the ingredients for people who are nervous about potential exposure. The price seems fair and probably less expensive than most hair styling products. To me this is definitely worth a try if you're looking to add some body to your hair or help keep it under control.
