The seller was incredibly helpful and provided tracking information and was shipped the same day! Received this HDD the following day early morning and was very well packaged and arrived without any damages! I installed this HDD to my Synology DS923+, went through the process of formatting and creating a storage pool, as this was the first HDD to use on this new NAS. The Seagate Exos X22 20TB SATA 6Gb/s 7200RPM 3.5-inch Enterprise HDD - ST20000NM004E (Renewed) HDD Drive contained an available storage capacity of 18616GB or 18.616TB of available storage, according to the Storage Creation Wizard of Synology. I performed a S.M.A.R.T test, took about three days to complete and my Synology NAS didn't detect any issues with this drive. I performed a stress test and transferred significant large sized files/videos over to my NAS using this HDD, and it handled everything very well! This HDD can handle read/write speeds of 25GB large filed videos. I recommend transferring large files to your NAS by hardwiring it directly to your PC, instead of transferring over WiFI to get better transfer results. I will be adding large SSD cache NVMe M.2 drives to significantly increase read/write speeds on my NAS. Noise level on this HDD is not to loud, but you can definitely hear the click/clack sounds when there's activity on the HDD. It's not loud for me, as I store my NAS on my server cabinet of my home office. This is a great purchase and highly recommend it from this awesome seller! Read more

I am pretty paranoid about second-hand core computer parts (graphics cards, HDD, SDD, and CPUs). The fact that these refurbished units have a 2-year warranty on them helped ease my mind. I purchased 3 20TB drives. 1 of the drives made an unnerving clicking noise while idle. I sent that one back and quickly got a replacement. All 3 of my drives are healthy and shipped with less than 30 hours of run time on each drive. They now happily hum away in my NAS I am not sure what would constitute a noisy drive. I am used to the muted clunking noise of HDDs and have never ran enough at the same time, under load, for the noise they make to be offensive. The drives work well in my DS1522+ and I am having no problems with them. The drives now have 800 hours under their belt and are performing just fine. Read more

I ordered this to replace another bad drive from Amazon. This one beeped, never showed up on the motherboard and not recognized by Windows 11 pro. I set it up by disconnecting another drive, nothing! Sent it back. Hopefully when I order a 4th drive I can get another one that works. 1 good Toshiba and a bad Seagate and HP. Really sucks to be me! Read more

I bought this Seagate (Renewed) Exos X22 20TB disk with some trepidation because I did not know what to expect of a "Renewed" product. The disk that I received says "Recertified product" on it but for all I can tell it looks and works like brand new. I have been copying files to it for the last four days, nonstop, and probably have two or three more days to go. The copying is slow because the disk is hooked to my machine through a USB port as I have no additional internal slots available inside my computer. Monitoring the progress, I see no error messages in my dmesg (this is in Linux), which is reassuring. In short, I am very happy with this purchase and I hope everyone else buying a Renewed disk will have a positive experience like mine. Read more

Well my new 22TB drive show as 20TB formated. Well this 22TB refurbished shows as 18TB. It was a good price and I already filled a good chunk before realizing this but otherwise has worked well. Read more

This was the 3rd drive I ordered from Amazon. The first two drives worked adequately, and I had no issues. The 3rd drive arrived and was installed. Upon startup, it clicked for about 30 seconds and then shut off. The PC does not recognize it. I contacted Amazon, and they advised me to contact the seller directly. I am currently awaiting a response. I hope that it is fixed asap. It was much money, and I had high hopes since the other two drives were sent and worked without a problem. (Update) The seller states that they will not do anything and that it must be returned through the Amazon return process. Amazon and the seller Tech on Tech can't determine how to replace a defective item they sold. Now I am told that I must ship the time in, wait 5-7 business days on top of the shipping time for a review of a dead product, and then I may or may not be returned my money (another 5-7 days) to turn around and order another device instead of just being sent a replacement. I have never had issues with Amazon before this interaction. These two companies need to get things figured out and fixed. This has been an absolute nightmare. Read more

I am exceptionally happy with these drives. They are fast. They are going strong. I have had this type of drive before just not this size. Not really much to say. I put them in my server for large space storage. No hiccups or problems as of yet. I don't anticipate on any either. Read more
