It works as expected. If you know what you're doing then you won't have any problems. If you don't know what you're doing, just ask someone if this will work. Chances are, if it's a laptop less than 5 years old that needs a new harddrive (and you don't need a lot of space) then this is what you want. It doesn't have Windows or anything on it, so you need to use your system restore disks or install Ubuntu. Read more
initially only showed as a 4gb hard drive which confused me...turns out that it was just not formated properly but once that was done the actual size displayed properly easy peezy...it still works today after 2 years...the gf who doesnt know squat about computers uses it as external storage i set up in a HD case.
