Yes, this takes awhile to put together but it’s well worth it! Follow the directions closely and I do suggest watching the videos as well. If the legs for the standing part end up wrong - you can take them out without damaging any shelves. There is a notch and as long as you make sure that notch aligns; you’re good to go. It's a cool desk and is much more solid feeling than some of it's competitors. The only knock I would have on it is the instructions for installing the lifting motor. The picture shows the cord to the motor coming out of the top during the assembly, but in reality, it should be pictured on the bottom. Otherwise, it's backwards if you install it like the picture shows. Other than that, it was easy enough to assemble and the end product is quite good. Read more

I love this desk. I am so grateful for the reviews I read before purchasing so I would understand how heavy it is and how much assembly is required. Knowing that it was going to take 5+ hours to build I went into the assembly with a lot of patience. The quality is great. It is heavy particle board. The desk looks much nicer than the cost. It has a lot of parts and pieces and about 65 instruction pages. I spent about 10 hours over 5 days putting it together. If you got into it knowing that it will take time and patience for the final product you will be so happy with the results. Assembly is not hard just time consuming. I’m really impressed with this desk. The instructions were easy to follow and the whole build was straightforward. I didn’t run into any moments where I had to take something back apart because a piece was backwards or rotated wrong. It took me about 4 hours to put together. One thing that helped a lot was laying all the parts out on the floor before I started. It made everything easier to find and kept the assembly moving along. The storage is one of my favorite parts of this desk, and overall it feels very solid for the price. When I compared it to other standing desks that are basically just a tabletop that goes up and down for double the cost (or more), this felt like a much better value. I’d definitely recommend it.
