Whenever you buy any brand of razors, remember this one impotence fact!... The quality of a shave, and the quality of your razor both equally matter the most!... You want a blade that is durable and sharp; and both factors matter in the end to how your shaving quality will be. Obviously, you should still use a good shaving cream/gel/soap before you shave; thats a given fact we already know. However, if your shaving razor blade is not thick enough and is too thin; or if it's not sharp enough, too flimsy, not durable enough, is causing painful skin irritation, or if it's just pulling hairs over actually shaving them—it's a garbage razor!... If your razor does that, DON'T USE IT! Affordability is important, yes, but so is your personal health and safety with a shave. A good shave is supposed to shave off any hairs you don't want on you—not cause scarring, rashes, or ingrown hairs. If you have a shaving razor that is causing any those issues to you, STOP USING IT! Throw it away in the garbage right now! Razors of that grade will not help you, and they are just gonna do more damage than help you! I'm sorry, but as someone who usually supports a lot of American brands, this brand blow the majority of modern brands away. I used to use american brands, but sadly to say—there have been certain american-based brands that have been causing too many ingrown hairs... And in the end, that isn't shaving, and it's not helping your skin! These are honestly some of the best built and best designed afforable single blade safety razors to use. This works absolutely fantastic for my skin, especially as someone with coarse and thicker hair and sensitive skin such as myself. On top of this, absolutely worth the money, and they actually last much better. I'm definitely gonna buy this brand here on out! Read more

These blades by far the best I have used. I switched to a safety razor years ago and have a machined aluminum razor that grips the blade with a wide flat face. I purchased another brand of blades that worked but were inconsistent. After using the previous 100 blades I did cyber Monday deal for these blades. They are very sharp and make getting a close nick free shave. I will be buying them again when I use these up. Well worth the asking price and way cheaper than those multi blade disposable ones. i ordered these blades 5 years ago and just re ordered them again. it was 5 years ago that i decided to save some money and reduce plastic waste. there is a learning curve with these super sharp blades. plus, your actual razor DOES make a difference. get a decent quality one. i still have a cheap plastic razor on hand for those hard to reach, tricky places like ears and under the nose. but i've saved TONS of money going this route and i feel better about my plastic waste. MAKE the SWITCH. you'll be glad you did. Read more

To be fair, I am giving 4 stars because I honestly do not know if it is worth 5 stars yet as I have nothing else to compare it to. Many years ago I shaved with such blades, but at some point, switched to those cheap plastic Gillette razors. They were/are very shave and cost effective. Recently, I found my old Gillette Black Beauty. It never was some top-of-the-line double edge razor, but it is well made and in ideal condition. I decided to try using it again. I picked these blades based on the reviews (the sheer number and the rating). I read in general I should get six good shaves out of a blade. I have used it three times, trying to find the best adjustment. On 9 (most open), it wasn't good at all. At 5 (mid-open), it was better, and at 1 (most closed), it was very good. No nicks yet, but I could tell by the third shave, it was starting to ever so slightly pull a bit here and there. Note that after each shave I wash and dry the blade (avoiding any dulling). So I am not yet sure I am going to get to six shaves. I of course realize everyone's growth and thickness will be different, so the number of shaves per blade will vary. But I can tell you that I use those plastic Gillette razors for months at a time (I'm not kidding), and they still shave really well (but I don't shave every single day though; maybe 3 to 5 times a week). I get I'm not the kind that goes crazy with all the shaving accoutrements one can get, nor do I shave myself three times at one time (as I once saw in a video)! Just your basic Barbasol and blade shave. So maybe I'm off here. I will update after I've used these blades more and if there's anything more worth saying. But in all, I'm happy with the quality of these blades at their price point. Read more

Great blade. Enjoy these over disposables. Sharpness lasts a good 2 months for me before I need to replace it. They provide a nice close shave. Read more

First off, the blades are wrapped inside a piece of paper that is inside an envelope so they have at least one more layer of packaging than needed. None of this matters though. These are not sharp at all. I have never used a razor blade that shaves as poorly as these. Do not recommend. Of note, I have been using them in a safety razor, they might be better in a shavette but i doubt it (as they are dull and poorly made). Update, Viking did send me a refund, which shows that they want to be a good company and I do appreciate this. Read more
