These shoe stretchers really do work great. I hand washed a pair of adorable tan Keds in cold water and air dried them, but they shrank, to my surprise! So I ordered these shoe stretchers. When they arrived, I sprayed the shoes with a little bit of water to get them a wee bit damp and then put one shoe stretcher in each shoe. By morning the shoes were almost too big! Not really, but they were nice and loose, and even a bit wider than when I bought them. These stretchers can stretch your shoes in both length and in width, but they also come with little adaptors that you can add to increase the stretch in certain spots. I'm getting older (guh!) and I don't have bunions per se, but I do have spots on my feet that need a little more room and this does the trick. I've stretched a couple pairs of shoes now and I've got a brand new pair of runners stretching as I type this. I can't vouch yet for durability because I have only had them for a month or two, but they feel solid enough to last a while. No telling how long the internal mechanisms will last if I keep cranking them with all my strength, but so far so good. I'll update if the mechanism cracks anytime soon. Read more

This works so well! I got a pair of Doc Martens and there was a spot on the top at the bottom of the laces are that was pushing into my foot. I was so sad because they had been on sale and I needed to keep them. Enter this bad boy! They said you have to leave it in for 24 hours, but I only put it 12 hours in each shoe because I had one day until I needed to wear them and it worked great! I did get the shoes a little bit damp before I put it in to help stretch out the leather, but it was perfect! I love that you can put them in and then tighten and then expand it from the outside. That was very helpful as well. I wish I had gotten the pair but one works just fine. The length was perfect, and I was very thankful that they were listed properly. It was exactly the right size for my boots, I like that it's bright yellow because I won't lose it. Too many things are black and they get lost in the closet. It really helped stretch out my boots and I am thankful. I'll have it for next time, which is another great thing it was very sturdy. This boot stretcher is going to last for a long time. Read more

I recently bought a nicer pair of round toe cowboy boots in the same size I normally wear, but I normally wear square toe. Even after the break-in period the boots were too tight, and I realized I should have gone up a half size or maybe gone with the wide width. I had previously purchased a $70 for a single Houndsbay boot stretcher that didn't do squat and broker after about a half-dozen uses. but I thought I would spend $40 on a pair of these plastic boot stretchers to try and make my $350 cowboy boots fit. Well, it took about four uses, using a boot stretcher spray, and each time leaving them in longer and longer. I started with the boot stretchers in the boots for 2 days and the last time over two weeks. But my boots feel good now. And I don't know how, but these plastic boot stretchers haven't broke, cracked, or just collapsed and I was cranking down on these puppies HARD. Every couple days, I gave them another twist or two. Now there were a couple of times I thought I had these stuck inside my boots forever; I just couldn't get them out. But eventually I did. The only thing keeping me from giving them a full five stars is I'm still afraid these will break soon. But so far, so good. Read more

These are very well made, much more impressive than expected. They work. However if you are trying to insert them in some boots, (a leather Chelsea boot), they are very hard to insert and harder to remove. The instructions are not for this type to boot. I am glad I bought them, even with the difficulties . They do work well. Size women’s S shoe size 37. Read more

This shoe stretcher is quite versatile, with two main adjustments and small buttons to open specific areas of the shoe. It was better built than I expected, and should last years. I think it's better for boots and standard shoes than women's fashion shoes. Read more

Very sturdy product. My boots went from 13 to 13 wide in about a week but without any spray leather stretcher. I didn’t want to spend the money but it should last a lifetime. I wish I had bought a shoe stretcher years ago. Read more
