I have a large collection of '50s vintage style dresses with high waists and full skirts, and I am always on the lookout for cardigans or shrugs that are cropped enough to wear with these dresses so that the hem of the shrug sits at that high waist level and doesn't get in the way of the full skirt. I was excited to find this cardigan because the cut of the front and shoulders looked a little bit 1940s to me. I am generally skeptical of one size fits all clothes as I don't think these type of pieces end up being flattering to most. I am usually a size small in women's tops (33" bust measurement, 5'7" tall) and I do think the sizing of this works for me, and it does have a lot of stretch to it. I didn't test the stretchiness much because I wanted it to fit smaller on me and not get pulled out of shape. The lacy look of the knit is very pretty, especially the ruffled edges of the sleeves, and I like that it's so lightweight and can be worn in warmer weather when you'd rather not go sleeveless. The knit is so loose and open, though, that it doesn't end up working with as many of my dresses as I hoped. I bought the black, and whatever you wear underneath will show through the sweater quite obviously. If what you're wearing under is a very different color, or is patterned, or has sleeves, some odd patterns and shading are created by the layer of see-through knit over the clothing. I don't think this looks good over anything with more than a cap sleeve, or anything that has a busy or very contrasting pattern. It looked by far the best when layered over a simple black cami - sleeveless, solid color, and close to the sweater color. I am not sure about the long-term durability because the knit is so open - this is a piece that will very easily get caught on things and snagged on things, but on the plus side, because it is so stretchy and loose it also might be easier to work a pulled thread back into the knit and smooth it out. I will take extra care with this piece and definitely will use a laundry bag when washing to protect it. All in all, this is a very pretty and nicely made piece, but doesn't work well over everything due to the super open weave. Read more

Very cute shrug. I lost some weight and have bat wings that I like to cover. It looks tiny when you unwrap it but it fits me and covers my arms so I can wear a sleeveless top or dress . Read more

So this is what came, it’s not at all what I expected. This is a piece of cloth that has been sewn in half then halfway sewn up the sewn side leaving a big hole and the other side totally opened. It is not a bolero. There are no sleeves, collar ,sides, anything it is a piece of a Bolero. Read more

The cardigan doesn't look very high quality, but it is a nice lightweight cardigan for the summer. The color is just as shown in the pictures. This survived one wash and I let it air dry, but I'm not sure how many more washes it will survive. Read more
