SHU-SHI Metallic Evening Poncho Lightweight Sparkly Cover Up for Dresses Weddings Parties Holiday Celebrations

Definitely a one size fits all, flowy coverup that adds a touch of sparkle to basic outfits. Two things I really like about this poncho: 1. It's lightweight. I get overheated easily especially at parties/clubs where there are a lot of people. Often times I end up removing my jacket/sweater which dresses down my outfit. So it's nice to have a coverup that I'm not dying to remove. 2. It's soft. Even though the description said it wasn't scratchy, I was skeptical because of the metallic threads. But it is soft even on bare skin. What I don't like about it: The threads pull too easily and leave unsightly threads hanging which have to be pulled to the inside to hide them. For the few occasions I'll wear this poncho, it will probably hold up for a couple of years, but if it were to be worn frequently it would probably only last a few months. Read more

This poncho/coverup is OK. I can't call it great because it has no or shape, so the drape of it just isn't very nice. I'm overweight and these types of drapey clothes normally camouflage that fact a little bit, but I felt like this garment kind of emphasized it. Maybe it would be more flattering on a slender figure? The weave is definitely easily snagged. You can see that some of the metallic thread is snagged or loose already at one of the sleeves, even though I've merely tried it on twice and done nothing else in it. What I do like about it is the silver sparkle. I just wish the fabric hung better, really. If it hung better, then I might consider it worth the price - but it isn't. Read more

The material is soft to the touch and it does not wrinkle. It has a stretchiness to the fabric and is comfortable against the skin. The silver fabric threading is very shiny. I wore it to a Christmas party and received many compliments. It is a style that will endure over time so you will get many years of use. It is one size fits all. It is a great value for the money. Lightweight scarf/poncho/sweater. I like it for its sparkly glitter. But it isn't as long as it is in the picture. IT can be used to dress up an outfit for the festive holiday which is why I ordered it. The sleeves aren't as long as pictured. It is not as long as indicated in the picture. But it still looks nice but I wish it was as pictured. The 3rd picture is the arm hole and it is short. I won't return it but will use during the summer months. Read more

I usually wear XL or 2X tops and this cover up is plenty roomy for me. I ordered 'black silver' and it adds light weight sparkling bling to any outfit and could be worn with a variety of sleeve lengths. The fabric is delicate and catches easily so I'll have to be careful. The front is longer than the back so I'll try to tie or loop it so it won't look too draggy from the front. It does fold up without causing wrinkles so it would be good for travel for fancier events. Read more

Light weight and shear shawl adds some sparkle to your outfit. I got this for my wife to wear on new years eve. It has a nice metallic sparkle when the light hits it. There is some nice variations in length at the bottom (it is a little wavy). The fit was good for my wife. It is definitely a light accent garment as the material is light weight. I bought this SHU-SHI Metallic Evening Poncho hoping for a lightweight, sparkly layer to dress up a few outfits for holiday parties and weddings. Visually, it delivers the fabric is undeniably pretty with a lovely shimmer that catches the light just right. It drapes nicely and adds a festive touch to simple dresses.That said, for the price, I’d probably pass. It’s essentially a piece of fabric that’s been cut and hemmed ,there’s no lining or structure to it, and after wearing it for a while, it starts to feel scratchy against the skin. I found myself adjusting it constantly to keep it from irritating my arms and shoulders.Also, be warned: do not wash it. The delicate metallic threads don’t hold up well, and I’d be nervous even about spot cleaning. It’s definitely a “wear gently and hang carefully” kind of piece. If you’re just looking for something sparkly to throw on for a short event and don’t mind the lack of lining, it might work for you. But if you’re expecting comfort or long-term wear, this one might leave you a little disappointed. Read more

This is definitely a different kind of sweater. It is very light and stretchy, feels odd at first and slides up and down your arms when you wear out and about. I liked the lightness of it on this barely cool December 24 day. It added the shiny that I wanted for the holidays. It did keep catching on my purse's zipper and pulled several threads out which I had to cut off. I could see this happening a lot. It's kind of fragile in that way.
