I recently started getting into batwing cardigans, so when I saw this one I couldn’t resist. Right out of the bag, I could tell it’s not quite as oversized as it looks in the photos. I’m 5’6”, 146 lbs with a 27-inch waist and ordered my normal size medium, but if I wanted the same loose, drapey look shown on the model, I definitely would’ve needed to size up. On me, it sits right above my bottom instead of covering it like in the pictures. It’s more true to size than oversized, so if you want that slouchy, extra roomy look, I’d recommend going up one or even two sizes. That said, it is still a really cute cardigan and good quality. I got the apricot color, and it’s more of a light cream beige, definitely lighter than the first photo, but it matches the rest of the listing images perfectly. Another thing to note is the knit. In some photos, it looks like a moderately thick knit, but in person it’s actually pretty thin. Not a bad thing, just something worth mentioning so expectations match. Even with all that, it’s still flattering and easy to throw on with almost anything. It has that effortless, slightly boho look that I love in batwing cardigans. I just didn’t get the exact style I was expecting based on the pictures. The $19.99 price (as of 12/4/25) is fair and in line with what I’d expect for a lightweight, casual knit like this. I really do like it, just not in the size I ordered, so I’m planning to buy more colors, but in a larger size next time. I absolutely love this crochet knit cape. It's perfect for spring or summer, with a tank top underneath. The cape is comfortable, feels like great quality. The fit is good, I usually wear a medium, and this size fits perfectly. I ordered the pink and the color is exactly as shown in the pictures. For reference, I’m 6’ 153 lbs. The item I received is not quite the same as the pictures. The pattern is slightly different and is much thinner than the pictures show. It’s also not quite as oversized. The black cardigan is a loose knit like the other colors. In several photos of the black cardigan on a model, it appears to be a tighter more opaque knit, but this may be due to the lighting or image software used. In all the other photos, the depiction is accurate. This cardigan is soft, versatile, and suitable for both fall and spring weather. Because of the loose and flowy nature of this cardigan, I think it would be difficult to pick the wrong size. I ordered a medium but looking at the size chart combined with the construction, I could have worn the small or the large. For reference, I am 5'5" and 135 lbs, so that may not be true for everyone. An unusual quirk of its construction is that it looks nearly the same even if you wear it upside down. With no clothing label on the back at the neck to indicate orientation, you can easily put the right sleeve on the left arm and vice versa. I do not think there's a right or wrong way to put this on. Worn one way, the cardigan appears shorter because the sleeves sit lower; flipped, it hangs longer in the back. This makes the length somewhat adjustable depending on how you choose to wear it. Overall, I’m giving this four stars. It’s a practical, well-made wardrobe piece, but at least three of the seller’s model photos of the black color do not accurately represent the product. Read more
