very strong magnets that will not fall off

great magnets that stick to anything metal. you really have to pry it away with effort. the phone holder is great as well. securely keeps phone but you do have to not squeeze the phone too much. this thing is so secure that if set too tight it will render the screen useless and unresponsive. just need to use less pressure. great holder just need to not over tighten it.
