This ESR Qi2 15W MagSafe Car Mount Charger truly impressed me. The magnet is extremely strong and holds my phone securely, even over bumps and turns. The charging performance is excellent — fast, reliable, and perfectly aligned every time thanks to the MagSafe design. Installation was simple, and the mount feels sturdy whether on the vent or dash. Arrived quickly and nicely packaged. Comprehensive instructions, albeit, the parts are self-explanatory, so, the instructions are not really necessary. I used the car vent option and the clamp as well as the magnet are sufficiently strong to reliably hold my iPhone 14 Max Pro in place even during the off-road run. Takes about 30 seconds to install. A caveat - this fits my Toyota 4Runner vent, it may not be usable with some other vent configurations. My suggestion to the manufacturer would be to perhaps produce a line of clamps that fit different vent configurations and provide a buyer with a choice of the package based on the particular vehicle make, model and year. Charging time is good. Have used it for over a month and the experience is steady. The fact that unlike some other devices that are hardwired, this one plugs in over C-USB port, so, if the cable goes bad, as often happens with chargers, you can replace the cable and continue using the device. One thing that needs to be understood. ALL magnetic chargers and holders, no matter how strong the magnets are won’t reliably hold if you are using a thick phone case. I would suggest investing a few dollars into a MagSafe compatible case for your mobile device that has the inbuilt magnetizable ring. Otherwise, you’d need to take your phone out of the case for a reliable hold and that’s, obviously not desirable. Another UX suggestion to the manufacturer. Instead of the blue LED on the side of the charger, in the future product development, use that LED to highlight the logo in the center and the magnetic ring - that would look really cool and make it intuitive for the users to dock their mobile device. The ESR 15W MagSafe Car Mount Charger has been excellent so far. The magnetic hold is very strong—even on rough roads, my phone stays locked in place without slipping or shaking. Wireless charging is fast and consistent, and it connects instantly every time I get in the car. Installation on both the air vent and dashboard is simple, and the mount feels solid and well‑built. It’s a big upgrade from cheaper mounts that wobble or lose grip. One thing I’d love to see is a version that includes a cigarette‑lighter power adapter combo in the box. I really wanted to like this. It seems like it is a quality piece of gear but I've had it a couple weeks with one big complaint and one minor complaint. It will not stay attached to my vehicle. I cleaned the area with the included cleaning swab and attached the mount to some smooth plastic. Within a day, it had fallen off, during the night, with no phone attached. I reattached it but it keeps falling off the dash. Thankfully, every time it falls, it is during the night, without my phone attached. My second minor grip is the included charger cable is too short. It reaches the USB port but there is not enough length to "hide" the cable. If it stayed attached, I;d have to purchase a longer cable to conceal it. UPDATE: After I posted this review, the seller reached out and offered a refund. Today, Amazon notified me of the refund. I am adding two stars to the review for exceptional customer service. Update 2. The seller not only refunded my money but sent me a product of my choice. I chose a mag safe charger that used a suction cup to attach to the dash. It is MUCH better. Read more

By and large, the fit and finish of the mount is far better than a lot of other solutions for mounting a phone in a car. It's squeak and rattle-free, magsafe does a great job of holding the phone in place, and it charges without any fuss. However, on mine, the adhesive pad has failed after just under 5 months of use. The reason I bought this mount in particular was I'd found a spot where it would have the phone hang away from the centre air vents and not block them, but just high enough that the phone would catch a little airflow to keep it cool while charging. The resulting position placed the phone more or less dead level with the stock head unit, which seemed like a great place for a carplay-on-a-budget arrangement. However, a couple of weeks ago, the adhesive pad started to peel away from the mount, and it finally failed completely this afternoon. The *really* annoying part is that it came unstuck on the side that ESR handled - the pad is still stuck to the dash, and the mount has come away leaving the pad in place. I don't know if this is a temperature-related thing. Round these parts (Honolulu) car interiors obviously get warm. However, I would have thought that an accessory intended for mounting inside a car would take that into account. I'll be chasing this up with ESR, as it's definitely not on. Read more
