The SIRUI AM203 Mini Travel Tripod is an excellent, well-made "travel" tripod for use when carrying a full size tripod is not a convenient option, such as when traveling by plane. What makes this tripod unique is that each leg has 3 sections, plus the ability to "splay" out from the center, for added stability and versatility. It is strong enough to hold at least a mirrorless kit such as a Nikon Z8 with a Nikkor Z 24-120 f/4 S zoom lens attached. The stability with such a configuration is quite good, thus this SIRUI AM203 Mini Travel Tripod is highly recommended. Addendum - Regarding another reviewer's comment about the "plate getting loose", I highly recommend using an Arca-Swiss L-bracket (Kirk, RRS, Leofoto, etc.) on the camera, which negates the need for the small plate that screws into the base of the camera. This way, you have a Very solid connection between the camera and the ball head, which is far superior to any screw-on plate. Thanks! Read more

Good materials and build quality. Sturdy and easy to deploy and use. Ball head damps well and easy to use to track. Small size is compact, light weight. I’m using mine as a table top tripod for a 20-60 x 80 spotting scope. Very pleased with this purchase. Read more

I bought this for using in the woods photographing mushrooms and plants. It's just the right size for getting close to my subject. it feels really solid and does a much better job at keeping the camera still and positioned than the old monopod that I used before. The twist lock for the legs can be a little challenging when you're covered in sweat, but the camera adjustment lever is really easy to use. I've taken this hiking twice. I'll update this review if anything changes. Read more

This is a tabletop/mini tripod when you need full-size tripod features such as removable feet to use spiked feet or rock claws, 3 leg angles, a 1/8" threaded socket on the spider's side plus another on the bottom (for attaching articulated arms etc.), length marks on the lowest leg to aid setting equal leg lengths, and the weight plus rigidity for macro shots when a full-size tripod is too big for the space on the ground. Get the aluminum version, carbon is only 10g lighter. I do wish the A-S clamp were longer. When I want light & compact, my FLM CP-10 with Oben MBH-11 ball head totals only 9.2 oz/ 261g but not as stable & rigid. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This tripod is exactly what I was looking for in a mini version. It is built very well and has no problem holding my Canon 90D camera. Adjusting the legs is super easy and I love that it goes completely flat without a center post to worry about. There are two features that I'm not crazy about. The screw that attaches the arca plate to the bottom of the camera needs the provided allen wrench to tighten. This became annoying as the screw seemed to loosen up easily. I didn't like having to dig in my bag to find the wrench. Secondly, you really need to make sure everything is really tight when adjusting the angle of the ball head or direction. Again, it loosens up easily. I'm a hobbyist, not a professional, so this tripod works for my needs and is solidly built. Please view my video review for mor info about this product. Read more

Excellent quality. Use often as tabletop tripod with heavy DSLR camera. Like its rotation and capability to adjust legs multiple ways. Read more

I was using a "Gumby" (I'm dating myself) type tripod for my trail cam. I put leftover food out occasionally to see what kind of wildlife I have in my yard. I got sick of those tripods not cooperating and so this one came into my search for a more stable tripod and smaller stature. I have a collection of various tripods I use for dslr cameras, but this one fits the bill because in its closed state, it is lowest to the ground and is just right for my trail cam capturing who comes to my doorstep to munch on the fare I leave. Its also great for b-roll if you are a YouTuber. I have the same extra mount for all my cameras so I can just click it on and they're on the tripods in a jiffy. Read more
