Extremely light weight and well built tripod. Very rigid especially for the size. Has automatic locking angle locks which is a must. Max height is about 57” so take this into account if you are taller and want to use it while standing. Read more

I have been using a tripod for years and have loved it. it is an aluminum tripod made by zomei.... bought from amazon. It has been through a lot.... used in the ocean surf, mountain streams, trails and roads and fields. I used the monopod alone for countless hours. the "foot" of the monopod leg eventually came loose and would fall off once in a while, so I thought it was time to preemptively buy a replacement. I took advantage of prime day price. Wow..... this is a good example of not knowing what you might be missing. I was skeptical about the additional weight, but it is totally worth it.... the weight, price, size.....everything! this tripod is solid. For the extra stability and height the extra weight is forgiven immediately. I think it will take a little getting used to no center post, since that makes it so easy to adjust height, but also that substantially reduces stability, so probably a blessing in disguise. The spike feet, although oddly heavy, ad even more to stability. For long shots, with long lens, this is a HUGE deal. The spikes with added weight hung from hook make this tripod stable as a rock. anyway, the main purpose for this review is to encourage those thinking of upgrading from a midrange type tripod. It is definately something you will notice and appreciate...and honestly probably NEED. I know I did/do. some mention the bag.... I guess it is nice. I most likely won't ever use it after having removed the tripod from it and strapped it to my backpack. Seems a weird thing to even think about when it comes to a tripod. I'll probably store my old tripod in it. Read more

I wanted a lighter tripod for long hiking trips that wouldn't break the bank, but would be more stable than extremely light tripods. I decided to give this one a shot and I'm quite happy with it. It's about 1.5 lbs lighter than my heavy duty Gitzo tripod. It can extend just as tall, and I like this one because there's no center leg so I can mount my camera very close to the ground with this one. The legs are sturdy and easy to extend or collapse. It's very stable as well and is a good weight for hiking. For the price point, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Read more

Yes the quality is great. The locking and unlocking mechanism are very good. Very easy to fold and extend the legs. The adjustment for the lags are quick and simple. Just pull the metal tab to unlock the legs adjust the angle and just push the tab down and it’s secured and stable. Highly recommended for the price and performance. Read more

This is a really well made tripod with small tolerances overall. it is extremely easy to use with single flip locks that fall into place in the most extended position of the legs. From there you can simply fold the legs inwards and the lock will fall into place. The carbon fibre is between 1 and 1.5 mm thick which is typical for Cf tripods. For its size it is lightweight and the center columnless design makes it compact. It is very sturdy without the legs extended but there is noticeable flex especially from side to side. So taking long exposure photos with telephoto lenses may result in motion blur in photos. However this is for the extreme scenarios. The head is very smooth and sturdy but it is difficult to screw it on the base and moving around and adjusting loosens it over time. If you are not frequently changing tripod heads you can really tighten it and will probably stay in place no problem. The height of the tripod is very good, someone 175 cm (5'8") can easily take photos without hunching down. Overall I recommend this tripod except for use with telephoto lenses for long exposure photos. Read more

This tripod is an excellent addition to my camera gear. Exactly as advertised and is robust and well made, the price was very affordable. Would definitely purchase again but I’m pretty sure I won’t be needing another tripod for a while. Read more
