Light, sturdy, durable, and feels very well made. Really good value for the cost and maybe the best tripod you can get at the price point I paid. Easily holds my Sony and 200-600 lens which is a beast of a combo. Read more

This tripod is amazing! Super light, yet, super strong. I use it to hold about 20 lbs of gear on simple multi cam shoots on the streets. There is not a single thing that I would want changed on it. A 1 star reviewer on this item complained that he accidentally pulled a leg out so he had to return it. This to me is my favorite thing about this thing. You can purposely pull the legs out if needed and make the pack down size as low as 16.5"! Really great for the frugal flyers that want to carry some really great gear that easily fits within an 18" x14" x 8" bag. Here's talking to you, Spirit and Frontier enthusiasts! Gotta love 'em! Upon opening the box this tripod was packaged in the first thing that struck me was the absolute quality of the materials that compose all the metal workings of this tripod. It appears to possess the highest quality materials and the most gorgeous colors I've ever seen on such equipment. Though I haven't actually used it yet I trust simply by the appearance and feel of it that it will perform above & beyond what I've already read about this unit based on my exhaustive research of reviews regarding lightweight & strong, small tripods. I'm very excited. UPDATE: 12/17/23 - Upon closer examination I have unfortunately discovered that the bubble level located on the headstock arrived shattered & drained of its fluid. I have contacted SIRUI directly through their customer service as one of the 3 options Amazon.com gave me upon addressing "broken or missing parts" because I really don't feel the need to send the whole thing back as that piece has screws that make it easily replaceable. I asked SIRUI if they'll simply send me the part. I will keep updates here. Read more

super pleased. Extremely well-built, extends high for standing (I'm 6'). surprisingly compact, with smooth head for binos or spotter or camera. Read more

I have only taken this tripod out in the field a few times, but it has performed really well so far. The leg locks are not as smooth or quick as a Slik tripod (you have to twist twice as much to loosen and tighten), but they seem solid so far. The legs on this tripod are much sturdier and a little taller than my Slik CF-634, which is the biggest plus so far. I love the compact design of the legs as well, it fits it the side pocket of my Exo pack annd straps down easily. The center column is sometimes a little finicky to tighten down, it seems to require a little extra tightening to keep from wobbling while glassing. The new VA-5 head design is taking some getting used to. I have had the original VA-5 head for 6-7 years now and still love it. This new design has a few nice qualities to it, but the side drop-in plate access throws me off every time. The lock levers and knobs also seem unnecessarily big. Still a great, smooth head for most optics, but I’m a little happier with the old version. To be fair though, I may still just be resistant to the changes. Overall, great purchase at the sub 180 dollar price point and I will highly recommend to all of my buddies. Read more

Only complaint is it could be lighter weight. It is actually heavier than my cheap aluminum tripod it replaced. But it is waterproof, which will be invaluable in rain/snow/freezing conditions while in the backcountry. Set it up for my camera to get some pictures of birds with the zoom lens. Handles my heavy spotting scope with no issues as well. Read more

Great for hunting with larger spotting scopes. Sturdy. Lightweight for size. Head works well but is a little bulky if you intend to carry it much. Would work very well with a smaller head like the Small Rig, and would be lighter to carry on a hunt. Read more
