Color is dark black and perfect ( picture not displaying the actual shade) These balaclavas fit comfortably and feel very light on the face per my husband. The fabric has a smooth stretch to it, which makes it easy to pull on and off. I really like that it covers the full head and neck while still being breathable enough for hiking, biking, or errands in cold weather. They fit snugly without feeling tight, and the eye opening is shaped well. Great option for winter protection. My husband uses them as a landscaper and he definitely approves! Read more

I ordered the two face masks because I liked the idea that I could always have one available, even if one was in the laundry. They’re made from a nice material that is stretchy and breathable yet provides some protection from the elements. They seem to fit me well enough. I thought the price was a good enough value, and getting two for that price is even better. My only complaint is that they don’t cover the back of my neck very well. This is also evident in the picture of the mask lying flat. You can see how the bottom edge of the mask angles up toward the back. One of the other purchase options was a combination of one face mask and one neck gaiter. That might make more sense if you really want to protect your neck from the cold. Read more

This ski mask is perfect for wearing underneath a football helmet. This mask is lightweight and offers the stylish look my high school football player wanted. It keeps my son’s hair out of his face and protects his face from the sun, wind, and dust while playing as well. The mask fits snug, stays in place, and is highly breathable. It is well made and the stitching is consistent and clean. The ice silk fabric is soft, smooth, and does not irritate the skin. The breathability is excellent, especially for rigorous sports like football. With the lightweight, silky material, this mask is ideal for use under a football helmet as it adds no bulk. Hey for the price, this ski mask is a great lightweight cover for moderately cold and/or windy days. The mask is not heavy duty. Light can be seen through the material. It's not real form fitting and doesn't have a lot of elastic. The seams are sewn well and it appears it will be durable. The mask is comfortable and lightweight. The opening is good for me as a large man, but it's not large enough to use the mask as a neck gator. It doesn't cover very far down the neck, but again I won't be wearing it in heavy snow. The material is easy to breath through. This is not a heavy duty mask, but the price is so affordable that it would do well to have on hand for moderately cool ski days or when it's warmer but windy. I've got to be honest, I've tried more than my fair share of balaclavas over the years, and these have been my favorite. As someone who cycles in sunny Texas, I need something that helps with sweat, helps protect from the sun, helps keep debris out of my mouth, but also still allows me to breathe without feeling like I'm being waterboarded. Typically the thinner ones are less likely to be comfortable or well made. These surprised me with quality. Immediately threw these in the wash with the rest of my gear and hoped for the best. They're 16 inches long, giving you the ability to tuck it in to the collar of a shirt/jacket, which is nice considering most tend to come up short in this arena. The elastic at the bottom isn't too tight either, which I've noticed on a lot of others in this price range. It allows for comfortability without feeling oversized or baggy. The material is a thin polyester so if you're searching for something for colder weather, this isn't going to be the best option. Here, I've only got to worry about a mild winter for a few days, so I'm mostly looking for protection from the sun and wind. This is perfect if you're trying to find something for active protection, or if you're just looking to conceal your identity without being too uncomfortable. The stitching is pretty durable and these seem to be built to withstand some extensive use. I'll personally be ordering more. Read more
