SlowTon No Pull Small Dog Harness and Leash Set Puppy Soft Vest Harness Neck Chest Adjustable Reflective Lightweight

I bought this for our 7 lb. Pomeranian girl because it's a battle every morning to put on her step-in harness. I'm usually the first one up, so I'm trying by myself to get both of her legs into the harness at the same time. It's quite the challenge because she's hungry, thus impatient, and is turning circles on the kitchen table while I'm trying to put the harness on her. This typically results in one leg being in the harness and the other one out, and I almost always get some fur caught in the snap, so it takes me five or six tries before her harness is on correctly and we're ready to go outside before breakfast. This SlowTon harness looked as if it might be easier to put on, and many purchasers mentioned that it was comfortable as well, so I decided to order it. I tried it the morning after it arrived at our house, and I was impressed by how padded and soft the harness felt. Our girl doesn't like having anything going on over her head (like flea collars) so she isn't thrilled when I put it on her, but I really like that the strap goes under her body and snaps on the side. It's easier/faster for me, and there's less of a tendency for her fur to get caught in the plastic snap. Someone mentioned that they were concerned their dog's fur would get caught in the Velcro straps used to make adjustment, but we haven't had a problem with that. The only disadvantage I've found is that when our Pommie licks the treat in her Bento ball the strap that goes under her chin gets wet, but it doesn't appear to bother her. As others have said, the sizing is perfect and the harness seems to be much more adjustable than others we've had. We always leash her with the ring that's attached to the top of the harness instead of the one in front; because the front ring clinked on her water bowl when she got a drink and was distracting--my husband cut it off. By the way, that one is metal, not plastic; I'm not sure what the top ring is made of. I've ordered several other harnesses in the past and returned them because they felt a little heavy for a small dog, but as others have said, this one is lightweight. We haven't tried the leash yet, but I'm sure we will at some point. Another reviewer mentioned that the company had reached out to them to thank them for purchasing the product and to find out if it had arrived in good condition and worked well. The same happened with us; I got an email (plus the actual harness) from the company 3 days after I placed my order. That showed me that this is a company that cares about its customers and stands behind its products. Overall, I'm very happy with this harness. Love the leash! The price is right just for the leash. The harness is nice and fluffy soft , but the clip is under / behind the armpit and looks very not comfortable. I went to Petco and got a Gooby easy fit harness and matched the leash without noticing the color and the leash and harness look good together. The Gooby easy fit harness has one clip on the top of the spine so pure comfort. Don’t hesitate to get this leash, so comfortable for the hand to hold, nice and springy tension. It somehow made it a lot easier to walk the dog, he was at the end with tension the entire walk. The other plain leash would always wrap around his legs . fits my maltese / shih tzu PERFECTLY in a small. the shifting ring makes walls so much more comfortable for her and super easy to get off and on. the leash is ideal bc it has a springy give at the end that prevents her from pulling me or getting pulled back if she suddenly sees a squirrel. like a shock absorber. super light, durable, doesn’t choke her and is washable! best harness/leash i’ve ever had - and with a lifetime of small dogs i have had a bunch. and the price is a steal. highly recommend! Love this harness and leash. The harness is so easy to put on my dog and she seems very comfortable in it. She has a small head and fairly large neck so I have had problems getting collars and harnesses to work comfortably for her. Finally one that works. Long story short: I've gone through a half-dozen harnesses ordered online for my 4.5lb Chihuahua, I've never been happy with any of them, there's always some part of the harness that's I'll-fitting or not quite right, or easy to slip out of, or chafing under the arms, etc. I decided to give it one last try, and hallelujah, this fits perfectly everywhere, and that's simply because of multiple adjustment points. I'm extremely picky when it comes to harnesses, my little dog is beloved in our home, especially by me, I need to be certain of a few things, but especially that she cannot slip out of it, and this one scores full marks from me. It's a tiny harness, barely coming down below her little shoulders, but the fit all around is snug, the material around her neck & body padded, soft & comfortable, with other harnesses on first walk wearing it she's clearly been aware of something different & will often give a few hard shakes as if trying to shake it off; with this harness she took to it instantly & began walking off without batting an eye lol. One unique feature worth pointing out that I've not seen on other harnesses is the use of a large "O" ring (instead of the ubiquitous "D" rings found on just about every harness), which the leash attaches to and which encircles a sturdy multiple-stitch-point loop, (see pic) all of which allows you to walk beside your pet with the leash & tackle off to the side, and same if you move to the other side. Kinda cool & unique. I like. 😉👍🏻 I'm not sold completely on the leash though, it's a lot thicker & wider than to my liking, she is after all only 4.5lb, seems like overkill to me, though my wife loves it, but one feature I do love (& will insist on with future leashes) is a kind of "bungee" cord up near the wrist about 12" in length, (see photo) that acts as a shock-absorber should the pet stop suddenly & the walker not notice (a little 4.5lb dog can be yanked considerably hard & potentially injuriously this way), as has happened many times in her walks over the years. This leash has already minimized the effects of that, so I'll put up with the over-size for now. The harness though, gotta say if you have a tiny 4-5lb dog you'll love this one. 👍🏻👍🏻 Read more
