Bought this smart bird feeder camera a couple months ago and stuck it on the big maple tree right outside the kitchen window, set up was pretty easy, charged it indoors overnight, screwed the solar panel on top and hung it with the included strap, done in 20 minutes. Picture is sharp 2K during the day and surprisingly clear at night too, you can actually see the raccoons trying to rob it after dark. The AI thing cracks me up, it pops up on the app saying “House Finch – female” or “Northern Cardinal” and it’s right like 9 times out of 10, my 8-year-old loves racing to the window when the notification dings to see if it guessed correct. We stuck orange slices and grape jelly in the little side holders and now we get orioles and even a random woodpecker showing up, way more action than the old regular feeder. Solar panel keeps it topped off, battery still shows 95-100% even on cloudy weeks, haven’t plugged it in once since the first charge. Only real complaints, it only works on 2.4G WiFi so I had to split my network because everything else runs 5G, and the app logs you out sometimes if you don’t open it for a few days, mildly annoying. I added a 128GB SD card and it records every visit, fun to scroll back and watch the squirrels get scared off by the blue jays. My parents love it too, I shared the family access and now they get the same notifications at their house 500 miles away, they keep texting pictures of “their” cardinals. Loved the packaging. Good size. Easy enough to assemble. The birds loved it instantly. The squirrels loved it and even a raccoon tried climbing up a tree to get at it. It was a victim of its own success. Unfortunately the white plastic grate was chewed up by squirrels. The alarm was somewhat effective and stopping them but they are very persistent. So I ended up training them with the alarm just not to mess with the camera. It's overall pretty sturdy to survive them jumping on the top of on/off. We have had extreme heat & rain storms and it still works. We bought this months ago and the solar power is still working great. The images of the birds are still clear. I just wish I could have a metal grate/plate where the feed falls. Read more

Really good quality and value. Without a subscription we are able to watch any activity that our camera captures. There’s an option for notifications as well. And the features of having a microphone, able to take video, and the light are added bonuses. It’s been up for 6months now and has held up very well! We can see our bird guests very clearly. A Good bird feeder with camera and solar panel that keeps camera charged. This bird feeder came assembled where all I had to do was to mount both the feeder and the solar panel to my fence. I had installed a different camera feeder for my Sister and it took me about 1 1/2 hours to assemble and set up hers. This one was assembled and all I had to do was to put the bird perch on it (which snaps into place) and set up. The software is not the best but it does a good job at identifying most all birds. The Yearly plan costs around $50.00-$55.00 per year and you have the 1st 30 days FREE. It has a micro SD card slot for up to 128GB so I guess it will save videos to card if you don't subscribe to the cloud service. I'm not to that point yet. But for the money this is an overall good bird feeder. Read more
