It looks like there was an attempt made to build a "slightly better mousetrap" with these safety glasses and the attempt is a pretty decent one as the result is a fairly upgraded version of your basic safety glasses. I have multiple clear safety glasses around the garage and these are quite an upgrade. Here's what I love about these glasses: + Comfortable to wear for extended periods (1 hour tested) despite my large head + BT streaming audio is sufficiently loud to hear on the glasses while being low enough to not annoy people next to me or prevent me from hearing sounds around me + Bright enough light for most scenarios (garage and household work) for me + Nose pads are welcome especially for the extended wear durations Here's what I don't really love: - Long battery recharge time (3 hours?!) - 20 hour battery life is under ideal conditions. My husband and I were both pretty impressed that these are official ANSI Z87.1 safety glasses. That alone sold us. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and I love that they include both dark and yellow lenses. The yellow ones are awesome for nighttime or indoor work, and the dark ones look sleek outdoors. The sound can be LOUD which is perfect for folks who work alone, want music or calls, but hate having earbuds in all day. The audio’s clear and crisp, and the flashlight in the center is genius. The button’s easy to use (even if you’re getting to the age of why wondering why they print everything so small, lol), and the included case, charger, and cleaning cloth make it feel like a full setup. And it was super easy to connect! My dad would’ve absolutely loved these. He passed away, but my entire life he was obsessed with flashlights. I inherited his whole collection from gloves with fingertip lights to headlamps and car spotlights. He was deaf in one ear, so when his good ear was blocked, he couldn’t hear alarms, warnings, phones, traffic, or anything else. That also means he couldn't wear an ear bud. And he was one of those loud talkers, bless him. But he was so funny, kind, always welcoming everyone that he could charm a room of strangers while talking too loud on the phone! He also owned his own A/C business and always used safety lenses. And knee pads~ protect your knees people! These glasses? They would’ve been his dream gadget. ❤️ One small PSA: if you do use these, please be mindful of the people around you. It’s kinda rude to take speakerphone calls in restaurants or while waiting in line. We may live in the “I don’t care” era, but it’s actually okay to care and be considerate. 😉 By yourself though? Jam out and enjoy! You’ll love having something that moves with you and no sweaty earbuds, no fuss, just solid sound and light where you need it. Overall, these are a great buy being fun, functional, and genuinely well made. Would I love a sale or coupon? Sure! But even at full price, I’d call these a win.
