It was difficult to find an affordable option for this specific use - the ability to control a plug using a physical remote AND the SmartLife/Tuya platform. This works perfectly and doesn't require a separate hub to integrate into my smart home ecosystem. we bought the non-smart (non-wifi) version of this previously and it had a nice form factor. the outlet is small enough not to intrude on the other outlet and it worked on our kitchen disposal--but not with our lamp outlet switch. so we decided to try this wifi version. weirdly, it now works with the lamp outlet switch. press the button, and the lamp turns on flawlessly. sometimes i think if you fast press it several times, it jams it up. but the weird thing is the wifi functionality does not work consistently. and maybe it's just a "me" issue... half the time the smart commands through google assistant work perfectly. the other half of the time, when turning on the light through the tuya app or voice commands, it will flicker and then not light. sometimes the tuya app will say "not responding" after it fails. sometimes the light will simply not respond. perhaps it's the plug or it's the network, but the wifi is in the same room as the outlet. admittedly we don't have a dedicated 2.4ghz network for it to connect to--i use a google wifi that does the switching automatically. not a problem for any of my other smart devices, but maybe it has more impact for this plug. wish it worked perfectly but thus far, this smart portion of the device only works intermittently for my situation. if you don't use the smart functionality so much, this product is pretty great. after coupons, it came out to be about the same price as the non-smart version for me. *** this has been great for our bedroom light which did not have a neutral wire. the one fatal thing is after months of working fine, it now flashes on/off randomly in the middle of the night, or during a nap, or meeting. it's like a ghost. It was very simple to set this up to turn on my basement lights. The lights turn on right away when I click the button, rather than the slight delay I experienced with other products. I also enjoy that it works with my Amazon speaker. Read more

before i could connect with smart life, but later it went offline and i couldnt connect again. i bought a new one but it also doesnt work with smart life and Tuya app. its terrible. Read more

This was the exact item I needed to control my single lamp in my room. I was tired of having to use voice commands to shut off the light when leaving my room and wanted something I could just press. This does exactly that in addition to the normal smart outlet features. Read more

When it works it works great but it quits working pretty fast. First one stopped working after clicking button 5 times to turn it on/off. Replacement came and that worked for about 4 hours and then died. Going a with a different toggle switch and see if that one is better. Read more

This works great to add remote control to an outlet. The I love that it works right out of the box and also can be connected to a wireless network for voice control. My only complaint is the shape/style of the remote. I wish it was styled like a traditional paddle light switch so that it would blend in with the rest of the switches in our house.
