This sweater is thicker and warmer than most I have tried - perfect for cool Fall days or evenings. It is soft enough--not rough or scratchy. I normally wear XS to S, but I ordered a Medium so that I can layer under it. It is perfect and looks good even if not layered under. I washed it on cold gentle cycle and laid it on a towel to dry part way, then hung it on a hanger to complete drying. It came out very nice. The navy blue is a very dark blue. I'm was pleasantly surprised and impressed with quality of the sweater, especially for the price. At the department stores this would be $60+. It is thick , soft and properly sized . I'm 5'5 lb 128 lbs. it's a tad short in arms, just hit the wrists as opposed to covering the wrist which I would have preferred. But it's a true small as opposed to vanity sizes. It's not a light summer throw on sweater. More appropriate for fall or winter or possibly a senior who gets very cold. I've been looking for a good cardigan but didn't want to spend LL Bean's prices . I'm happy I found this. Read more

I purchased a blue sweater and also one in black. My mother is 92 yrs old and we could not find a sweater in any local store. I gave her these for Christmas. They fit perfectly on her small petite frame. The sweater is very well made, soft and warm. It is a thicker sweater which is what she wanted during the cold winters. The sweater is much better quality than I was expecting. It's classically tailored and very soft. Perfect fit and sleeve length. The button holes are a bit tight though. The color is not as pictured, however, and doesn't photograph true to color either. It has a pink undertone, making it more of a dusty rose than a lavender. Read more

I bought three different blue sweaters for a specific need - a scout leader uniform. I had planned to keep only one, but after seeing this and trying it on, I knew that I would be keeping it just for the pure joy of weaing it. It is so lovely and feels great on. It fit perfectly and is a nice mid-weight sweater that will work in multiple seasons. I highly recommend this sweater and would love to get one in every color for myself. The online reviews of this sweater indicated it would work out just fine for me. I had to search for "Grandma sweaters" in order to find the style I wanted. A few years ago, I searched for "Grannie robes" in order to find the style I prefer. Amazon needs a new category "clothes for old people in styles they understand". Anyway, back to this sweater. It's thicker, nicer, higher quality and a decent price. Couldn't ask for more than that, especially these days. Update: I like the ivory sweater so much, I ordered the exact item in black. I'm returning the black sweater because, even though it's supposed to be the same size as the ivory one, it's just enough smaller that it's unpleasant to wear. Too bad, because the fabric and style are great. Update: October, 2023. In near desperation, I, yet again, ordered this same sweater in, yet again, black. This time, it's great! They either changed the sizing or I changed my size (ha). Everything I wrote about the ivory color version now applies to the newly acquired black sweater. Read more

I love this sweater so much I bought it in two colors, pink and lavender. Both are rich and lovely colors. I returned the medium to buy the large. I found the medium a bit snug, especially in the arms and chest. 5 feet, 130 pounds. I can fully button the large without it pulling or having gaps. Will be buying more colors.
