The best way to describe this footrest is "comfy." The foam is somehow both firm enough to feel substantial, yet soft enough to feel inviting and gentle. My feet sink into the foam just slightly, enough to soak up the heat and feel the gentle vibrations. I understand that this sort of massager is designed for under one's desk at work. Since I wear lace-up shoes, it isn't practical for me to take them off multiple times throughout the day. I'm always getting up from my desk and walking around. So I have been using this footrest at the recliner at day's end. I have another more serious foot massager (also a Snailax) and I love using that for more intense and focused massaging when my feet are really worn out. This footrest is gentler. It has a lovely amount of heat that doesn't roast my toes, instead warming them slowly and thoroughly. And the massage function really helps the heat relax my feet. It slowly and rather gently warms away fatigue and pain. I was initially surprised at the design, as the optional riser that lifts the footrest up higher (should you wish it to be higher) is also made of foam. But in usage it works just as designed and maintains its lightweight form factor while also having enough grip to keep from moving around on the luxury vinyl tile in my sitting room. Though I don't always feel the need for a more aggressive massage (like I get from my foot massager), when I return home I look forward to kicking off my shoes and resting my feet on this very comfy footrest that welcomes me back and tells me to rest a bit. I'm a ghostwriter for a living, so I spend A LOT of time at my desk (taking breaks in between). I also have back issues, which create a huge mess for me later in the afternoon as my sciatica runs down my right leg into the bottom of my foot and is very painful. I don't want to take pain medication 24/7, so I looked at how I was sitting at my desk to improve my posture and footing. I'm average height (5'6" and 150 pounds) and I use a Herman Miller chair, which is high quality. I noticed that my feet were not flat under the desk, so I purchased this foot rest, and wow! Am I glad I did! I like the three ways you can use the massage, although I only use the third setting, the heat also has levels, and this keeps my feet super toasty during the winter! It's soft enough to feel comfortable but also gives great support. This definitely helps reduce my back pain! And I love that my feel feel great too! I ordered this on October 15th because I needed something as my feet did not fully reach the floor. It had massage and heat which was an added plus. The heat worked great for a few weeks. I worked from home over the Christmas and New Year holidays and when I returned to the office on January 5th the heat was not working. I hit the heat button, and it just blinks and does nothing. I am so disappointed because when it worked, it worked great and it even helped with my plantar fasciitis. Now nothing. I can't even exchange it now. Read more

Amazing product at first: I’m short and needed a footrest for my desk and this was a great option. Heated up to a nice hot temperature too. However, months later I’ve got to comment on the durability of this thing. Only one side heats up now, and not as well as before. Kind of awful if you don’t want a single foot to be warm and one to be frigid. Lightweight, grips the carpet surprisingly well, and overall nice to have. But it really shouldn’t be losing function this quickly after purchase. Maybe consider a pricier product that’ll get you more reliability. Read more

I am really enjoying this footrest!! First of all, this thing weighs absolutely nothing! It is so light that you can take it anywhere and everywhere. It is very easy and simple to use and the instructions are very clear. It has three different vibration settings. With an automatic shut-off of 15 minutes. With its two heat settings, it heats up just enough for you to feel it even through socks but not too much that you can't use it with your bare feet. It does wonders for the blood circulation of your legs and the heat timing can be adjusted as it has three timing options. The fabric material is super soft and I love the fact that you can take it out and wash it. The bottom has these little silicone-type dots that make it secure and non slip. The fact that you can adjust the height is such a convenient feature. Not only is the footrest a relaxing feel it is a great way to enhance your posture and so helps alleviate the discomfort of lower back and shoulder pain.
