The best sock I’ve ever owned

OurFamilyMay 4, 2025

Why do you need a compression sock? If you plan to ride on an airplane you’ll want some Sockwell’s. I bought my first pair for a long haul flight across the Atlantic Ocean. They were a tight fit, but comfortable. After 13 hours in the air I walked off the plane with a kick in my step. My legs and feet felt energized. Now I wear them every time I get on a plane. I started out with a mild compression around 15. I loved how they made my feet and then purchased a medium compression, both pairs are Sockwell. They are really well made and after several washes they still fit great. The socks stay in place and they are moisture wicking. My feet do not sweat, despite being in a warm environment. I absolutely love the colors, they have a design for every style. I’ve tried other brands, Sockwell is by far my favorite. Read more

I'm buying more!!!!!!!

mspita2uOctober 7, 2025

This is the second pair I've ordered. I wore my new ones today. They wash and dried just as well as my first pair did and I've been comfy and warm all day. Both pair are far better than any other compression socks I've owned. I'll be picking up a few more pairs for this winter. My first pair which I purchased last year are still working great for me. I wash in the washing machine but never the dryer. They never slip down my leg and are long enough even for a 5'9'' female. I wear these in the winter mostly and find that they let my feet breathe. I'm very happy. Read more

Whimsical Design, Multiple Color Options, and Percentage of Natural Fibers Make These Compression Socks an Excellent Choice ...

delicateflower152June 9, 2016

A planned overseas trip necessitated my purchasing compression socks. After I researched various brands and styles, “Sockwell Women’s Elevation Compression Socks, Black Multi, Small/Medium” were better suited to my preferences than other options. These compression socks were woven from a higher percentage of natural fibers than many other brands of socks. As a result, they wicked moisture better and did not cause my feet to sweat profusely. They were firmer (15 - 20 mm Hg) than the majority of compression socks (10 – 20 mmHG). The socks’ graduated compression and well-fitted feet, as well as a whimsical design and multiple colors, made “Sockwell Women’s Elevation Compression Socks” my choice. Sizing is always a challenge when it comes to purchasing any clothing online. I wear a 7 to 7 ½ narrow in shoes. I purchased the Small/Medium size. That size fits well and is not uncomfortable. At its maximum point, my calf is about 14” in circumference. The socks extend to the crease in the back of my knees – about 15” from the floor; this circumference of area measures about 13”. My foot is 9 ¼” long and the circumference around my arch is about 8 1/8”. “Sockwell Women’s Elevation Compression Socks, Black Multi, Small/Medium” seem to be constructed with care. One of my socks has a more prominent knot on one side of the toe area. I have been able to position it so that it does not irritate or cause a blister. The top of the sock has a rolled, zigzag-stitched hem that approximately 3/8” wide. It has not rolled during wearing. Although these socks can be machine washed and dried, I prefer to hand wash and dry them flat. I believe this will increase their useful life. Amazon’s price for these socks, combined with PRIME shipping and free returns, makes them a much better value than the same item purchased from one of the online travel clothing retailers. Read more

Very comfortable for 8 hours of wear then itchy

andreaJuly 28, 2024

I'm 5'8", 125lbs, wear a size 8-9 shoe and the S/M was better than the M/L. It had give in the toe area, was snug throughout, and the band rested below my kneecap. Easy on and off if you know how. And this goes for all compression socks. Put your hand all of the way in the sock, palm facing toward the sole of the sock. Put your thumb in the center of the heel and touch the pads of your middle and ring finger(like a finger puppet). The nice thing about this sock is that there is a line down the middle of the bottom of the sock..So put your thumb in the middle of the line and grab at the line near the top of your fingers Squeeze tightly and pull the sock inside out just enough to expose the heel. Put your toes all of the way in and place your heel into the sock (if your heel doesn't go all of the way in that's fine). Then start pulling up the sock from the heel, up the ankle, etc. IF the sock isn't centered over your toes, start over. Not much effort wasted and much easier. And DON'T use your nails, just the pads of your fingers. To remove. slide the sock down from the top band over the toes. Then with your thumbs behind the heel of the sock, pull your heel out and pull the sock off inside out. Voila! So easy. I hope I explained it correctly. Read more

I bought these for a long airplane trip, but they feel so good, I'm going to be wearing every day.

Tante EstherNovember 5, 2025

I bought these to wear for a long airplane trip, but they feel so good, I'm going to be wearing them to work. As a nurse, I am familiar with support hose and how difficult they are to put on. The standard ones we use in healthcare bunch up, roll down, cut in, and are a pain to get on. These offer the same amount of compression as the ones we use in healthcare, but are entirely different. They go on easily -- just scrunch them down to slip your foot in, then pull them up over the calf. No struggle. They smooth out without a problem, so there are no bunched up bits to cut in. They stay up without rolling down and stay comfortable for long hours of wear. They look like normal knee socks. What I like most though, is how they make my legs feel. My legs don't really swell much -- just mild swelling after spending long hours on my feet, which is pretty much normal. I never saw the need to wear compression hose. But these made my legs feel better than normal. They feel great as soon as I put them on and kept feeling great all day. They provide comfort where I didn't even know I needed any. It's like switching from a regular sweater to cashmere; who knew socks could feel so good? Read more
