Been a great television for my father. The Sony brand costs a bit more, but the quality of the picture has been fantastic for over a year. The sound is perfectly fine without needing a sound bar. Colors are terrific and my aging father watches this TV every day. He's happy, I'm happy. Read more

Will NEVER buy another Sony product!! Received this TV expecting a "WOW" due to Sony's reputation. When it arrived, everything was ok. When I changed channels on the cable box (Verizon Fios) the audio/video was out of sync. Had to turn TV off and on again. Changed channels again ang got the same results. Called customer svc. and was switched to a level 2 tech. He checked a few options and said,"our built-in apps (you tube, etc) are working ok, it's your cable box's problem. I totally disagreed and argued with him.(Edward). Called Amazon cust.svc. and was told to send the TV back and they'll send a new one. Great!! Got the new one, set it up and lo and behold!! Exact same problem! Called Sony cust. svc. again and was sent as far as a level 4 tech. He did the exact same proceedures and came to the exact same conclusion but this time I had them. I hooked up the first set to my living room cable box where my LG oled is hooked up to and got the same audio/video lag problems! Told the level 4 tech that it's probably the HDMI ports that are attached to the mother board. He had me take a 5 second video on my phone and send it to them so they can send it up to a level 5 engineer and get back to me. 3 days and no return call. By the way, I asked each service rep at each level if Sony would refund my money. " Sony does not refund any money"!! My advice: Beware of Sony and their service reps. They'll say that everything BUT the Sony TV is causing the problem. Read more

I really like Sony TVs. This is the 5th one I have bought the last 8 years. All have been great. One fell and was busted but none have failed so far. I like the Google/Android TV OS. Good with Chromecast and Apple AirPlay. I used Chromecast to stream music for years before Google made it almost unusable. Now I use AirPlay and it works very well. I set the TVs up as my ‘receivers’ and hook the TVs up to nice stereos. We run everything, TV, streaming, etc. with the single TV remote. My only complaint is that you cannot control the volume on optical out. I used the analog headphone jack to connect to the stereo which works fine. Read more
