Tested in Alaska at −35°F. With wool socks, they perform very well as long as you keep moving. Comfortable, warm, and with excellent traction on ice. They honestly feel more like sneakers than boots — lightweight and easy to walk in, not bulky at all. Read more

Love ‘em! They aren’t small! I wear a 12-13 but still, they are a little clunky. I keep them loosely laced by the door and can slip in and out pretty well. If needed they tighten up just fine too! I’ll likely get another color next winter! Read more

As someone who has worked in the footwear industry for roughly 30 years (Top Boot and Sneaker companies), and lived in New England, it came time to find a pair of winter boots that could withstand the snow and cold weather while keeping my feet warm and dry. Well people, I found exactly what I was looking for in these Sorel boots. Read more

Should have listened to all of the advice. I ordered these boots (size 12) the same as my shoe size, even though the consensus is order a size down. My boots started out too small. I could barely get them on after considerable struggling, and thought that I had damaged the liners just getting them on. After a week of every day wearing, the felt liners have compacted so much that the fitment is now loose! I think everyone's feet are different, so there may not be steadfast rules. Trial and error. With wool socks, my feet are warm at the ski resort that I work at. Compared to the original Sorol boot formally made in Canada, side by side, the quality is greatly diminished. The materials are way thinner and no longer extra heavy duty. I would rate the Vietnamese Sorels as medium duty as compared to the originals. They are conciderably lighter in weight as well. I have never worn the originals, so I cannot compare the comfort or fit. These Vietnamese Sorels are not the end all best in category like the old Canadian ones were reported to be, but they keep my feet reasonably dry and warm at 7000 feet. Only problem is by the end of the day, I'm craving BBQ pork noodles and fish sauce. Read more
