This is a very high quality iPhone case! First of all, The blue color is cheerful and fun. The hard shell and raised bezel screen protection are very effective. I have dropped my phone hundreds or even thousands of time from tall heights onto very hard surfaces (e.g., pavement, marble, hardwood, etc.), and my phone did not sustain any damage whatsoever because of this case. The button covers allow me to access all the buttons while also protecting them. The case fits my iPhone 8 perfectly and is very easy to put on and remove. The case is quite durable and very easy to clean. I highly recommend it! Read more

I was looking for otterboxes, but I couldn't pull the trigger. The iPhone 8, according to reviews, didn't fit so well in the Otterbox cases available for it. Reviewers stated that the iPhone 8 is just a tad larger than the iPhone 7. The rumor was that they did not update the cases, they only repackaged them into boxes that read it would fit an iPhone 7 or 8. I prefer the Otterbox Symmetry series, so I was looking for something that was like that. I also didn't want to carry around a brick. So that narrowed the field a lot in terms of cases that were sleek and single piece. The next thing I wanted was to ensure the back of the case was smooth because I like to use popsockets. After sorting through all the china crap that comes with looking for a case online, I decided that Speck's reputation and reviews fit my needs. The case fits smoothly around the iPhone 8 without any appearance of "muffin top". The only location that could look a little off is around the volume buttons. The divider between the up and down button seems to be poked out a bit, but I think you'd have to be compulsive like me about details to notice. Besides fit and being smooth, the next most important feature I like is the lip around the screen. It appears to be at least 1-1.5mm tall all the way around and has a nice sturdy feel about it. This allows me to set my phone face down on the desk. This is important to me because I feel it protects my phone and my privacy. By not being screen up, should something fall over onto it the case will distribute the impact and not the glass. It also keeps all those notifications I can't be without from being read by nosy neighbors in the office. The packaging it came it was really nice, too! I opened up the bubble mailer it came in and then slide the case out of their retail hanging box. Popped it off their molded form and onto my phone. No scissors, no sutures, no fuss. Too many of these come in suicide packaging that I need leather work gloves to open up. Other information you might find useful: All the buttons work as expected. My Anker, Amazon Basics and Apple charge cords all plug in perfectly fine and the cut out for the camera is the right size for the iPhone 8. This is in regards to the iPhone 8 (non-plus) and the SPECK CANDY SHELL without little grippers all over it. Also...in case you're wondering and I do wonder this when I read reviews anymore. I paid for this case with my own money and reviewed it. My reviews aren't for sale or marketing purposes. If this stuff sucks...I'd tell you. Read more

Speck makes the best and lightweight cases... use them for both my iPhones and my laptops (Macbook Pros). Esp. these Candy models, as they protect my phones no matter how many times I drop them (never had a broken screen or case EVER). Highly recommend esp. for the price. Read more

This is a review specifically of "Speck Products CandyShell iPhone SE 2020" case. We have two identical phones - one had this Speck case for a long time, the other had a different case. The hard plastic of non-Speck case on the 2nd phone eventually broke and I got this Speck case since the previous one kept on working like a charm and doing it's job protecting the other phone (many, many falls on the floor or even the pavement - 3-6ft drops). This particular case is a perfect fit for the phone and is very easy to put on - the phone slips into it like a hand into a glove, but can't easily come out. The plastic feels really nice (it is not hard plastic, but it's also not as soft/flimsy as silicone cases, yet a bit pliable) and it is all one piece (vs many other cases that are made from two or more pieces that eventually fall apart). It's nice to the touch, but yet not really slippery. Also, it stands the test of time - the previous same case we had for several years and the plastic did not turn into gunk. Yes, after a while, the back of the case is not as glossy as brand new and yes, it will scratch with use. So what - the purpose of the case is to protect the phone! BTW - we do not use any screen protectors. Read more

Overall, this case is good. It was easy to put on, fits snugly, has ample camera opening on the back, and is very sturdy. My only warning is that it is very shiny and will scuff and scratch easily on the back. I personally don't care as it is just a cosmetic (and not very noticeable) issue but if that would bother you, just be aware. Good case though! I am definitely not careful with my phone and this case has protected it well. Would recommend for its quality as long as you don't mind some scuffing. Read more

First, I had this same case for my iPhone 6, before i got it, i cracked my phone soo many times by fumbling it. But after i got this case, although i kept fumbling it, it never, ever, ever, ever, ever (lol), cracked ever again ! Now i got it for my iPhone 7, same case - that's what is so cool. most manufacturers would have change the design in some way , simply because it was a different version of the phone, but Speck (cool engineers and sales people that they are), left well enough alone and wala! we have the same fine product. Also, as for Amazon (cool guys and gals that they are,I was able to find this case for approx. $13), whereas, it cost $25 most stores. As for the case, cool case that it is, it is shinny, so i can slip it in my pocket. I checked out the ones with the grippy on the case, but saw right away that it would be not as cool clipping in my pocket as this one. Button work really good, just like my last one. Also, one of the kewl things is, it has this rubber edge on the front of the case, so that when you set it face down, it doesn't touch the surface and it doesn't slide around , because it's rubber. So that's my review. Let me tell you, I do a due deligence discovery on everything i buy, whether it a big ticket item or small (most of the time i go too far with my discovery when it's a small ticket item (go figure) - buy it ! trust 'the discovery guy' Lol !!
