Protective but not very grippy

In terms of functionality for this case, I believe there are two intentions - one is for protection of the phone, and the other is to provide grip. Regarding protection, this case is excellent and has survived numerous drops onto concrete. The front lip covers the screen well, even with a screen protector, and the camera lip is also well raised. The magnetic strength of the MagSafe ring on the back is adequate to be able to hold a pop socket. With regard to grip, there is unfortunately very little. The ridges on the side of the case are nice and provide some texture when holding onto it, but it has some kind of a coating over the case that unfortunately increases slipperiness the hands rather than increasing grip. I’m keeping it because of the protection and the ridges, but disappointed that the coating makes the rest of the case fairly slippery. Read more
